"I had a very positive experience with JCB and will definitely call them in the future when I need help. I wanted to completely change my kitchen but I didn’t want to shoulder the expense of new cabinetry. I spoke to Brandon about my vision (which was to have a rustic, distressed look on my kitchen cabinetry with coordinated accent cabinetry around the kitchen) and he gave me a lot of helpful info on the phone, even before I signed the contract. He came out to my home to show me what they could do, to make sure it was to my liking. His estimate also seemed fair. Once the job started, Brandon and Chris and Joe were kind and communicative, letting me know what they were doing each day and checking in for feedback. Because I wanted a unique, distressed look on my cabinets, they created the look entirely by hand based on my description of what I wanted. It was painstaking and labor-intensive, but they worked efficiently. The entire job was done in a week (they worked through the weekend) and I’m thrilled with the result. They also re-painted my walls, in a color that complimented the new cabinetry, and they replaced a light fixture. We called them in because our house desperately needed to be painted, some key exterior repairs were required, and the gutters needed to be replaced. Specifically, the paint on the brick exterior was dingy and badly flaking, the siding (wood) portion of the house had dry rot in places, one of the shutters had fallen off during a windstorm, and the wooden columns on the front porch had visible vertical cracks. Thomas Matamoros, Apolo Gonzalez, and the rest of the team did back-breaking work day after day, for several weeks, to address and remediate these and other issues. They power washed the exterior; expertly scraped and primed the surface to ensure it was properly prepared for painting; spent many laborious hours painstakingly repairing and repainting the columns and shutters; removed and replaced rotted wood where it existed, even in corners; communicated their progress after each workday; were extremely solicitous to make certain we were aware of and approved of the work that was being done; and, after doing a superb job painting the exterior, replaced the old, deteriorated gutters with beautiful shiny new ones.
