"We want to share with you how pleased we are with the work James and his crew from Apex Masonry did on our new permeable driveway which looks beautiful. We’ve gotten many compliments from neighbors. It is often frustrating for homeowners to find a reliable contractor but James is highly professional and personable and his crew is friendly and hard working. He gave us a comprehensive scope of work and a price and delivered exactly what he said he would do on the schedule he provided. James clearly explained all facets of the work and how his crew would accomplish each task. We wholeheartedly recommend Apex Masonry and James and am sure you will be as satisfied as we are."

Additional DBA - Mario's Tile and Marble.

"Stay away from this Company. The owner is dishonorable and does not take accountability. Back in 2014, my company cashed checks for two employees of Tony (Antonio Mario) amounting to $1,450 owed. The checks bounced so I contacted the owner, who made arrangements to stop by my location. He never showed up and cut contact. I reached back out in January 2022 via e-mail and received a response that the Company is still in business. I asked for repayment with photo evidence of the bounced checks and text message interaction screenshots from 2014. Tony asked for 4 days to review his records. I did not hear back from him again. I would avoid Tony and his company at all costs."

"Glover Enterprises did a wonderful job on the installation of my vent free fireplace! My husband and I contracted with Glover to replace our inefficient vented fireplace with a high-efficiency vent-free version. After meeting with the owner, Chris, who came out to our home for an in-house estimate, we were both impressed with his knowledge and confidence about his line of business. He answered all of my questions fully and patiently; to a woman this is extremely important. We attained estimates from two other companies as well, including visiting their showrooms, and we ultimately decided to go with Glover. Their price was very fair, and Chris’ knowledge was impressive. I changed my mind on the final design several times, and this did not rattle Glovers’ employees. We ultimately decided to go with the crushed reflective glass type burner rather than the gas logs. Glover had one on display in their showroom, and as soon as we saw it, our interest was peaked; we knew that we wanted something modern and unique. Rich, worked with us in the showroom, and most of my email correspondence was with him; he answered all of my many questions in a prompt manner. Once our design decisions had been made, the installation was scheduled approximately 45 days from when we signed the paperwork (due to the Christmas holidays and Glover’s already scheduled work commitments). On the day of the installation, it was snowy and cold; I was really surprised they didn’t call and postpone the install. They arrived at approximately 9:30am. Three young men, Irving, Liam and Ian descended on my doorstep ready to complete what was originally scheduled to be a two day job, in ONE day. I was initially concerned that the job might be rushed, but my concerns were quickly put to rest, with the efficiency and precision of the work of these young gentlemen. They laid down cloth on my floors to protect it from construction and the weather elements. They were polite, conscientious, skilled, and worked well together. Ian did most of the outside work, while Irving and Liam worked on the inside primarily. Ian did an excellent job of cutting and fitting the plywood to cover the old vent opening on the outside of the house and replacing the siding pieces. Irving and Liam did an excellent job of removing my 3 sided marble surround without any damage, so that it could be reused, and removing the old firebox. These three young men did all the prep work for the new install. Then the owner, Chris arrived, and the install of the new box and fireplace began. Irving, Liam and Ian worked with Chris on the install, and it was finished by 6pm. They cleaned up everything, and left no trace of construction behind. My husband and I are extremely pleased with our new fireplace, and we were very impressed with the skilled workmanship of Glover Enterprises. Glover will now be the ONLY Fireplace contractor, we will EVER use!"

Fireplace services FAQs

The cost to convert a fireplace to gas is $3,000 on average. The typical cost range is $500 to $5,500, with cost factors like whether you need to install natural gas lines and the type of gas fireplace.

If you need to install a natural gas line, you’ll pay $200 to $1,000 on top of additional labor and material costs. Vented gas fireplaces are the most expensive type to install, averaging around $5,000. A more cost-effective option is a ventless gas fireplace, costing around $1,500 since they don’t vent to your home’s exterior.

The average cost to repair a fireplace is $575. You might pay anywhere from $95 to $2,500, depending on the severity of repairs and the type of fireplace. A typical repair of an igniter can range from $100 to $150. However, if you need to repair your mantel, expect the bill to be anywhere from $500 to $1,200. Wood fireplaces tend to cost more to repair due to specialized labor costs. Electric fireplaces tend to be the most cost-effective to repair, along with gas.

The cost to install a fireplace is $2,440 on average. This cost can range from $150 to $8,000 or more, depending on the type of fireplace, the materials used, and the size.

Electric fireplaces cost around $1,000 to install, and mostly only require wiring installation. Installing a wood fireplace from scratch could cost upwards of $10,000, depending on the foundation needed to support the weight of the fireplace. In addition, gas fireplaces can cost between $2,500 and $10,000.

The cost to remodel your fireplace is $1,200 on average. This cost can range from $400 to $2,000, depending on the extent of work needed.

If you add a hearth to your fireplace, you can expect to pay between $3 and $200 per square foot. However, if you're refacing your fireplace, the price tag will depend on your chosen materials. If choosing tile, you can pay between $1 and $50 per square foot, depending on the design. Stone is a more expensive material, averaging between $60 and $70 per square foot.

The average cost to remove a fireplace is $7,000 but can range from $4,000 to $10,000. Labor costs account for the majority of this price, which can range between $500 and $2,000. In addition, permits to remove a fireplace are typically needed, and these can cost anywhere from $100 to $1,000, depending on your location and city requirements. If you’re removing your fireplace due to issues like asbestos or damage, you will likely need to pay to rectify these problems along with the fireplace removal cost.
