Stay away from this Company. The owner is dishonorable and does not take accountability. Back in 2014, my company cashed checks for two employees of Tony (Antonio Mario) amounting to $1,450 owed. The checks bounced so I contacted the owner, who made arrangements to stop by my location. He never showed up and cut contact. I reached back out in January 2022 via e-mail and received a response that the Company is still in business. I asked for repayment with photo evidence of the bounced checks and text message interaction screenshots from 2014. Tony asked for 4 days to review his records. I did not hear back from him again. I would avoid Tony and his company at all costs.

Awful experience. The vanity top was cut incorrectly so that the back-splash could not be installed. Also a small piece of back-splash was supposed to be delivered and installed in the kitchen. They completely forgot about it. The owner keeps promising to bring the missing piece and take care of the incorrectly cut top but has missed multiple appointments over many months. Do not use this contractor

We dealt with the owner of the company and they did a wonderful awsome job on our countertop. It is exactly what we wanted. They were very rpofessional and did good quality work. The only con was it took them longer to deliver the countertop than originally estimated. After having shopped around, Mario's price was $400 less than other countertop companies for the same granite. Would definitely use again and we are looking at Mario's for a kitchen backsplash and redo the tiles in our bathrooms.

My wife and I decided to re-do our outdated kitchen in the summer of 2011 and went around to various contractors and big name companies, comparing prices. After much discussion, we felt the best bang for our buck was with ?Marios Tile and Marble? in Alexandria, VA. He seemed very personable, friendly, approachable?just what we wanted in a contractor. When we were in the interviewing phase, I made it VERY clear that neither my wife nor I were fluent in any foreign languages, and preferred that there be at least one English speaker present on the job-site. Mr. Antonio Marios promised me that this would not be an issue, and there would be someone who spoke English on the job site at all times. We also made it very clear that we wanted the job to be done within a certain time-period and within a certain budget. NONE of these requests were met? Our first sign of trouble was when Marios Tile and Marble took down part of a wall (in order to make the kitchen appear larger) and failed to cover any of our furniture with drop cloths. This included an antique Duncan Phyfe dining room table and an original Orlando, numbered painting. After doing minor damage to the table, which he said he would repair (but never did), it was then time to install the floors and cabinets. During the entire construction process, while I was at work, every time my wife (whom I told Antonio would always speak on my behalf) would try and ask a question about something that she knew they were doing wrong, the workers would, in broken English, tell her that they would wait until I would get home to speak directly to me. Numerous times I would tell Antonio that this would have to stop, he promised it would, and then back to treating my wife in a very rude manner. Long story short, the flooring and cabinets were not what we ordered. The cabinets this very moment are falling off the wall or falling apart. The electrical work, we found after the fact, was not done to code. Marios never applied for a permit with the County and when our marble was cut, it was done outside, thus covering the neighbor?s car with dust from the marble. Walls were not repaired correctly or installed as promised and wires are hanging loose under the top cabinets above the counters. His job was over budget, never finished (ended up firing him in January), and after reading another ?Angie?s List? complaint about him recently which was written about the same time our work was being done, it seems that he took some leftover materials from their job and ?gave? to us. Last thing, if you do hire him, you will find that every time you make a payment, he takes a trip back to his home in Greece. Needless to say, I would rather pay another contractor to clean his mess than to have him come back and ?fix? what he did wrong as we tried that too many times with no success. This experience left us feeling taken advantage of, and let?s just say it?.RIPPED-OFF? Beware of his business practices and be 100% sure he gets permits from the county and that you protect yourself with EVERYTHING in writing if you choose to use his services, which we would advise you not do.

The entire process was fantastic from start to finish. The guys take great care to ensure everything is protected prior to starting work and everything is spotless upon completion. I highly recommend this company and intend to hire them again when we renovate our bathrooms?

We hired Marios to design, order and install our kitchen. The only part of the project that went smoothly was the removal of the old cabinets. The rest of the process was highly disorganized. The cabinets were delivered 8 weeks Late. the installation took four times as long as it should have and Tony and his crew had to be constantly reminded and coerced to show up and actually do work. What they installed was mostly done in a very sloppy way. There are crooked doors and cabinets and door handles that arent straight or inline with each other. The cooktop was incorrectly installed to the point that Jenn-air had to send someone out to fix their mistakes. Other cabinet sections are coming off already-- only six months later!! My wife and I call this the Mario effect---and it will likely haunt us as long as we have the kitchen. We had to hire someone else to come in and fix the mistakes after I fired Tony. The Granite work which is supposed to be their forte was so sloppy (one part was short and another part crooked) that I forced him to take them off and redo them!

I had an excellent experience with Marios. They did an excellent bathroom remodel of my bathroom at a price significantly lower than any other contractor quoted me ( have interviewed more five different contractors prior to choosing Marios). The work was performed timely with only 3 weeks of lead time (which was necessary to acquire all the materials and the bathtub I wanted), compared to 2-3 months required by most of the other contractors I interviewed. There was a minor subsequent warranty repair they did (1) free of charge; (2) within 24 hours of me e-mailing them, which I consider outstanding customer service. Tony (the owner) personally supervised/arranged and a lot of work and followed up to verify my (and my wife's) satisfaction. Staff was very friendly; MIke (the designer) was really good with finding different tile and granite which worked together. Overall, Marios is an extremely high quality, reasonably priced and honest contractor. I would recommend Marios to anybody needing bathroom/kitchen remodel without any reservation in NoVA or greater D.C. area.

I ordered their tile in January 2011, scheduled installation in late February 2011, and when they arrived at my home in early March 2011 for the installation they didn't have the supplies. They started with the backsplash tile I had ordered separately and told me the floor tile would arrive within a few days, but yet proceeded to rip out my kitchen floor. I had to wait 8 days before the tile actually arrived and they could complete the installation. It took a stop payment and countless hours to get a response from Mario's. The sales manager and owner like to play a good-cop bad-cop relationship and that complicated the situation. It was a simple galley kitchen project that turned into a stressful nightmare, but I've heard worse contractor stories. The quality of the work was fair (I'm now seeing areas where the installer didn't cover my granite when he sealed the backsplash), and the professionalism and communication was less than satisfactory.

They did a good job but it was not as timely as we would have liked. We had some communication problems but we were able to work them out in the end.
Description of Work: Mario's installed granite counter tops and a tile backsplash and they also installed ceramic tile floors in our kitchen and one of the bathrooms.
