James and his team from Apex Masonry were outstanding from start to finish on my project, which was the repair/repointing/rehabilitation of a large aging flagstone patio and several retaining walls and stone stairways. I first contacted James late on a Thursday afternoon, he was at my home by 9 AM Friday morning and I had a detailed estimate with a very clear scope of work and fair pricing by Saturday afternoon. Work began quickly one I gave the green light, and finished right on schedule in two weeks’ time. Although James had other projects running simultaneously in the area, he was onsite at my home part of everyday and always available for questions. In addition to being true craftsmen, James’ crew was very friendly, courteous, and respectful of both my family and my property. I could not be happier with the finished product, which is truly exceptional. James and his team take great pride in their workmanship and went the extra mile (even beyond the original scope of work) to create a truly beautiful and professional restoration. James was extremely communicative, responsive, and professional throughout the entire process and there were no surprises. He is highly knowledgeable in his craft and enjoys explaining the work and answering client questions. On top of that, he is just a nice guy to work with. James and his Apex Masonry team did an amazing job adding a beautiful brick porch to the front of our townhome. This is something we've been wanting to have done for a few years but after we saw Apex Masonry complete a couple of similar projects for our neighbors, we were convinced. There were a couple of minor change orders along the way which James kindly incorporated without skipping a beat. Now we have a new living space that we use daily. I'm also grateful to James for his professionalism and kind demeanor. As a Realtor, I'll definitely be recommending his services to my clients, knowing that he will take care of them as he did with us. It would be a huge mistake not to call James first.

Project went exactly as planned! I had a failing retaining wall that was ready to fall any given day and needed to be fixed. James and his project manager, Peter, arrived and were able to walk me through the entire process and explained to me step-by-step how they would take care of the wall. Luckily we struck a deal and they were out at my house within the next week. Project took no more than two days to complete and now I have a great looking wall that no longer looks like it'll fall onto my driveway! Would definitely recommend Apex Masonry to anyone.

I cannot say enough good things about the professionalism and dedication of the entire APEX team assigned to my job. We were having our patio extended and adding a fireplace and sitting wall around much of it. The fireplace was very custom and a real stone veneer applied to fireplace and inside/outside of sitting walls. James, Peter and Juan were very technical in their approach to sizing, leveling and elevation. They worked through some very poor weather conditions to keep a schedule and even drove to West Virginia to pick up some stone supply. The end product was spectacular with top notch workmanship. Anybody considering some stone work cannot go wrong with Apex Masonry LLC.

James and Team were respectful during all phases of the process. Estimates (project completion time, and pricing ) were timely and accurate. No time was waisted. The project was completed to my liking and on time. The price was very affordable and lower than competitors in the area. Well Done. Looking forward to the next project.

Apex Masonry went above and beyond in responding to our needs and concerns. James Aguilera provided us a great amount of detail on how Apex would complete the project. He guided us through a painless process from estimate to job completion. The patio was carefully constructed with a durable gravel and sand foundation. The pavers were laid tight and level. The boarder has additional durability with a concrete foundation to prevent shifting. The front stoop looks better than ever! The steps have always been uneven with the first riser at about 3” and the second at about 9”. Peter, the project manager, skillfully demolished part of the first step and the forward edge of the second. The reconstruction resulted in two evenly sized steps. After repointing, the stoop looks incredibly revitalized and new. My wife and I are very pleased with Apex Masonry and highly recommend.

Apex Masonry is awesome. We started with a repair of my front stairs so that I could feel comfortable with their work after my previous contractor. Awesome job! After that Apex managed to fit me in with phases to complete the previous installation. The phases were reparging basement walkout, finishing back stairs steps, walls, caps with lighting, and modification of pathway to an extended patio surface, the patio pavers, toppers to columns, wall caps and lighting. The last phase was the retaining wall completion with lights and caps. After paving and fill dirt my project is completed after 2 yrs + start time. James was very professional, he listened to my concerns and he came through for me when others left me high and dry. I can not thank them enough. Highly recommend.

He was able to answer any questions we had.Mr.Aguilera listened to ideas I had when dealing with my walkways, pavers as well as the gutters and was great with giving me his expertise on what he think would go with my backyard. Excellent work! James diagnosed the problem, discussed my options and was able to do the work the same day. He also patched the foundation at the crawl space vent location, and tested the drainage from the sump pumps. I would definitely hire him and his crew again!

James and Peter at Apex excavated a six foot door and built an egress stairwell from my basement. Their work is beautiful and my neighbors continue to stop by and ohh and ahh at the finished product. I love looking out through my beautiful French doors and seeing a grand stairwell with carefully crafted molded brick walls. James and Peter, carefully chose and aged the brick on the exterior to match the rest of the house. It’s seamless and the comment I get over and over again from neighbors is “it not only looks like it was always part of the house, it looks better than our walk up.” The project went smoothly. James amd Peter were extremely professional - transparent on costs and timelines for work. The only surprises were good ones on how well it came together. I truly love my new basement entrance. It’s grand and fit for a king. I want to hire James and Peter again for additional stone and concrete work.
