"I called Chimney Cricket to come out and inspect/sweep my chimney since starting a fire in the (masonry) fireplace had always resulted in an unusual amount of smoke coming into the house. They fit me in quickly - that was nice - and he did the sweeping. Fast forward, I started a fire for the first time since the sweeping, and it was still really smoky. I had recently done some drywall work in the ceiling of this room, and still had a hole in the drywall. I observed a significant amount of smoke coming out of the hole (YIKES), so I doused the fire and felt around to make sure there was no interior fire. I also went outside and observed smoke coming through a pinhole mortar joint in the side of the chimney. I called him back to come take a look and find out why he hadn't told me my chimney liner was cracked. He came back - which was good - but assured me that there was no way smoke could be leaking into the house and that it was cycling back in through the attic. I subsequently confirmed that this was not the case, and finally called another chimney company out to have a look. They quickly reported that my liner was in poor shape, and a new steel liner would be necessary. So, bottom line, *DO NOT* use this company to perform an inspection. I would advise care in using him for sweeping, as long as you are very confident your chimney is in good shape. I can't speak to the quality of sweeping, though. I know the price is attractive, but sometimes you get what you pay for."

"We could not be happier with the service and the quality of the work from Valley Roofing.  Our home is 5000 Sf and 120' long.  It was an old country store for many years and had presented numerous challenges to say the least.  Lowell's thorough inspection and assessment of the job allowed him to recommend products that best fit our requirements for vinyl siding, gutters, decking, handrails and sun tunnels.  He explained the pros and cons of different products and advised us on what would work best.  Jeff and Joe the siding crew are perfectionists to say the least.  Their attention to detail, workmanship and ability to solve a multitude of challenges involving vinyl and metal trim on an old house that has 5 additions was outstanding.  The project managers and installation crews for the decking, handrails, gutters and sun tunnels were excellent. All the work was performed on time and crews always kept us up to date on progress.  The recommendations I received by all the crews throughout the job to give us the best job possible were always on the mark and resulted in a beautiful home.  As our home is on a main road we receive compliments all the time from people in town on how amazing the house looks and have had people knock on the door to ask us about the job and who did the work. Other contractors working on the house are very impressed with the work and ask "Who did this work?  It is excellent."  I tell them "Valley Roofing" and show them all the amazing work they did and the creativity they brought to the job to solve the challenges on this older home.  I highly recommend Valley Roofing."

"They never answer when you call and you have to leave a message. They take forever to get back to you. We had them come to clean our gas fireplace and repair it, it worked for about a month then it stopped working. We called and of course had to leave a message, then called a second time and their mailbox was full, called 2 more times and they have never called us back. So we are out $250 and our gas fireplace is not working. I do not recommend this company, they have very poor customer service and don't warranty their work if it doesn't stay fixed."

They are both very professional, extremely knowledgeable, pay great attention to details and very personable. The first day they came out to my home they answered all my questions regarding which stove would work best in our home.
