I pride myself on my professionalism, as well as my ability to complete every job to the homeowner's total satisfaction. I never leave a job unfinished, or a homeowner not 100% satisfied with my level of service - Call today!
"Our Samsung fridge would repeatedly stop cooling and start back up after a few hours. Ivan quickly realized what was happening and what part needed to be replaced, and recommended that a second heater should be added to prevent the top half of the coils from freezing over again. Once the part arrived, he performed the repair/upgrade quickly and expertly. In both visits he was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Moreover the cost of the service was very reasonable. We will entrust all of our future appliance repairs to ProTech."

"We called Mr Appliance in June to help with a smell in our dishwasher. At that time the tech told us he found what he thought was the source and remedied it. He also informed us that if the smell comes back within a year it would be covered under warranty. Fast forward 3 months later, the smell is back. When we called to ask about a followup visit they proceeded to say it was not covered under warranty and charged us another $140 to come out for diagnostics... okay, cheaper than a new dishwasher, please come out. On scene the new tech tells us he cannot find anything wrong. Proceeds to tell my wife to clean it more often then charges us another $50 for customer consult. $190 later we're in the same spot + a HUGE scratch on our hardwood floors. Would not recommend. I am in the process of following up for refund of the $50. 😡"

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.
"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Tri-County Appliance Service
"After saying they DO service my LG refrigerator, Tri-County sent a repair technician out same day who immediately knew what was wrong even before he did a thorough check of my refrigerator. He seemed knowledgeable and explained the repair process to me at length. Once I contacted LG and got a warranty replacement of the compressor approved, Tri-County was sent an email which gave them directions on how to quickly call the LG parts department and request the replacement compressor be sent at no charge. Tri-County then refused to call LG, at all. They insisted that I had to get the compressor myself. LG confirmed that isn't even legal since EPA regulation forbids them from shipping the compressor to anyone without a valid EPA certification. I called Tri-County and asked to speak with their office manager or owner. Ruby started our conversation by going on the offensive without even listening to anything I said. Once she paused for breath, I took the chance to explain the issue and what was being asked of them. Literally 5 minutes on the phone following directions given to them in an email that they already received. She stated that she doesn’t do all of that because these companies “keep asking for more paperwork” and that she “doesn’t run circles or jump through hoops.” She then said this entire issue was my fault because I didn’t ask whether they work with warranties at the start of my contact with them, as if that’s a reasonable question to expect a customer who knows nothing about appliance repair to ask during initial contact. Then she hung up the phone without another word."

If your refrigerator needs to be repaired, contact an appliance repair company to diagnose the issue and repair your refrigerator. It’s okay to leave it plugged in and running, but unplug it if it makes unusual noises.
Signs that your refrigerator may need repairs include:
Food items are not being held at the correct temperature (between 35 and 38 degrees Fahrenheit)
The fridge is using too much energy and seems to run all the time
Loud and/or unusual noises
Possible causes include:
A damaged door
Faulty condenser coil
Malfunctioning control board
Contacting an appliance repair professional as soon as possible can help save items in your fridge from spoiling. Common fridge repairs include the compressor, control board, thermostat, defrost motor, coils, and ice maker.
If you’re having problems with your dryer, contact an appliance repair professional as soon as possible to inspect and repair it. Having a faulty dryer can be a major inconvenience in the home.
Your dryer may need repairs if:
It isn’t turning on
It’s not releasing enough heat
The drum doesn’t spin
Common repairs include:
A damaged or worn-out belt or
Damaged or shorted electrical wiring
A control board malfunction
Dryers tend to overheat or become short-circuited over time, especially after heavy use. Other common dryer repairs include door switches, timers, and control boards.
If the unit is not under warranty, then you may want to call a reliable appliance repair technician to diagnose the issue and recommend a repair. Some of the most common washing machine issues are inadequate water supply to the unit, poor drainage due to clogging, leaks, and excessive vibration while washing. Like ovens, the cost to repair a washing machine will vary widely depending on which issue you’re experiencing.
The average cost to repair an appliance depends on the appliance, make, model, the part that needs repair, and how long it takes to replace or repair a part. The following are the average repair costs for the most common appliances:
Refrigerator: $200–$300
Freezer: $90–$500
Oven, cooktop, range: $100–$500
Microwave: $50–$400
Dishwasher: $160–$300
Garbage disposal: $70–$250
Washing machine: $50–$450
Dryer: $100–$400
Appliance repair contractors may charge $40 to $120 per hour for labor, and most also provide the replacement parts necessary at an additional cost. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays and emergency fees may apply if you need your appliance fixed immediately.
It's good to contact the manufacturer first to see if any warranties still exist, and if they have any specific repair persons they recommend. Some specialty units or smart units may require the assistance of a manufacturer-approved technician. Oven issues can be more challenging to diagnose than other appliances in the home because many of the parts are difficult to access for inspection or replacement. Some common oven repairs involve replacing damaged burners, heating coils, or electric cables. Purchasing additional parts, such as a new heating coil may also increase the total repair cost.
