Took our money and then billed our home warranty company for even more money and never did the repair. Also mis-diagnosed the repair, all it needed was service panels removed and cleaning. Phone numbers and email not responsive. We've heard from our warranty company and other neighbors of similar experiences.
Description of Work: Evaluated refrigerator not holding proper temperatures.

Description of Work: Anthony's was contracted with by American Home Shield (AHS), with whom we have a home warranty contract. | |Our DeLonghi range oven door malfunctioned and AHS sent this outfit to diagnose (and subsequently fix) the problem. The technician determined that the oven door and its springs needed to be replaced and said he'd forward that information to AHS. | |AHS and I have tried to contact Anthony's. Their phone number is no longer in service. I tried contacting the technician twice at the number he called me from to tell me when he'd be at our house, but I've gotten no response to the messages I left. | |Now, I'm hassling with AHS to get this resolved.

This company was hired by our home warranty company American Home Shield. My problems have been reported to AHS and they have also tried to get in contact with Anthony's Appliance with no success. The phone is never answered and calls are not returned. Very poor way to conduct business.
Description of Work: Unfortunately I have a difficult time rating this company because they never completed the work. It started off fine. A technician came during the appointment window, diagnosed the issue, and said he needed to order parts. The parts were said to be in the following week. On Thurs of the next week I called to check the status. Left a voicemail and did not receive a call back. On Friday I left two voicemails at two separate numbers for the company. Someone called back and said they had the parts and scheduled an appt for Monday between 1pm-5pm. Nobody showed for that appointment. I've attempted to reach the company by phone, leaving voicemails, and my calls have not been returned. My appliance is still broken and we will have to hire another company to come out and fix it.

TERRIBLE. The repairman had never seen a Viking before and had no idea what he was doing. He spent two hours on the phone with someone at his office who was attempting to walk him through the repairs. If it was up to me, I would have called Friedman's appliance who I have used before, but because of our home warranty (American Home Shield - terrible, do not recommend) I had to use Anthony's, their contracted provider. After two hours and over a month waiting for parts to come in and multiple attempts by AHS to contact Anthony's, I was informed that they would not be able to repair the appliance and it would need to be replaced. AHS has a $3,000 limit for replacements which meant I would have to pay a minimum of $7,000 out of pocket because Anthony's was inept at repair. I have since had it repaired by Friedman's (excellent service, 2 hours to repair and had the parts needed on his truck). Needless to say I would rather pay out of pocket for future appliance repairs than use AHS's contracted provider, Anthony's.
Description of Work: Anthony's was contacted by our home warranty American Home Shield as our Viking range was not lighting on one burner, and the oven was not getting hot enough or broiling.

Anthony's Appliance was contacted by Home Depot for an LG fridge under warranty. After three failed attempts by Home Depot to arrange for a repair with other companies, Anthony's was the one who agreed to do the work. They should have called Anthony's first. After the work order was received I was called and told Neil could be out the next day. Neil called within the window specified and arrived promptly. I had to empty the freezer while he got the replacement part ready and within five minutes I was ready to reload the freezer. Error code gone and working fine for now. After all . . . it is an LG. Neil was courteous and answered all my questions. When I need an appliance serviced again, I will call Anthony's. Another pleasant outcome of this service call . . . I found a frozen cinnamon roll and ate it after Neil left!
Description of Work: Replaced ice maker fan assembly in LG french door refrigerator under Home Depot warranty.

American Home Shield was not getting in contact with the service man. I am unable to do anything since I went through American Home Shield. I do NOT advise getting American Home Shield for home appliance insurance. They are hard to deal with and my order for fixing my washer was placed on 1/11/13 and it is 1/21/13 and still no service. I have been paying $49.95 a month for the premium and have found other insurance at more reasonable prices. Anthony's Appliance is working with me now that American Home Shield has finally gave permission.
Description of Work: They are going to give service this week. There was misunderstanding with American Home Shield - they had to wait for the OK from AHS.

Member was scheduled for a Friday service apt. When my tech called, he was told that her husband thought the heater element needed to be replaced since the dryer was not heating. As a tech, I know that there are several things that can cause a "no heat" symptom. However, Member refused to let the tech come out without an element in stock. Per American Home Shield policy, and common sense, we are not allowed to preorder parts based on no actual diagnosis, as electrical parts can not be returned to most suppliers. This info was turned over to the warranty company and I am "out of the loop" until a decision is made. The delay in service stems directly from a refusal to accept service when it is offered. Having a home warranty in no way guarantees that every part ever made is on a service van, it does guarantee that we will quickly come out, diagnose, repair if able, order part if needed and return to repair as soon as we can. That is the normal process. I have no way to bypass the diagnosis stage, and I can't superceed the warranty company's process.

I purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer and went to use the new dryer on Monday and it would not heat. I called LG on Tuesday morning and they scheduled a warranty repair through Anthony's Appliance Services via email. I was to call 30 minutes after I got off the phone with LG and verify the repair date directly with Anthony's Appliance. I began calling and leaving messages on their machine beginning at 11:20am. I continued to call leaving messages for the next 5 hours and my calls were not returned. I called LG back and explained the situation and they contacted Anthony's and then told me he would be calling me back within the next few minutes. Over an hour later, I finally received a call from Anthony's. My warranty repair was scheduled for 10-25-12 between the hours of 9am and 1pm. I received a call this morning at 11am requesting directions. I gave the repairman directions to our home. I received a call from my husband at 2:00pm that the repairman had never shown up. I began calling Anthony's and left messages. At 4:30pm I called LG and informed them of the difficulty that I was having even getting someone to call me back and let me know what had happened to our repairman. The representative from LG called Anthony's and also left a message for someone to call them as soon as possible. It is now 7pm and I still have not received a call from Anthony's Appliances. I am going to call LG now and request a different service company to do my warranty work on my dryer.
Description of Work: The warranty service that was to be performed was never done because the repairman failed to show up or call.

I am sorry for the trouble you had with our service. I know that you and I have since talked and the repair to your appliance has been completed by our company. I know that the area you are in doesn't get good cell phone reception and the reason my tech could not find the address is because it was not available on gps. We normally will only get directions in those rare situations. If my repairman can not locate address and can't call because of cell service, he has no choice but to move to his next call. It is normally the next day before someone will call and reschedule. I know that you and I have already discussed this and I hope that you have been satisfied with our service once we were able to reach the misbehaving machine. I used Anthony's Appliance twice to repair appliances in my home I had more than one appliance that needed repair. The first time I called Mr. Anthony he called me back the very same day and ordered the parts he thought were needed for repairman to come to my house. I had to call back several times to get an answer as to when I could expect service repairman..The response from Mr. Anthony was that he was out of town and apologized for the inconvenience. He sent two repairmen to my home and all three appliances were repaired to my satisfaction. About a month later, my washing machine began making a noise and missing cycles ( my original complaint). I had to call for repair again....It took several phone calls over a very long period of time to get a repairman to come out. The repairman seemed to be in a hurry to get in and out. My washer is still making the same noise and doesn't work on all cycles. The problem for me, is that I have a family member with medical issues and I need to use my washer every day. Mr. Anthony seems to be very nice and knowledgeable. I am under the impression that he is understaffed.

One thing I disliked was I had a great deal of difficulty getting hold of him. They came out in December and determined there was a problem with the door. They put an order in on the door. I tried calling several times over a couple week period after that since I hadn’t heard from them. I could not get ahold of them. The first contact I had from them after they came out and ordered the door was when they called me and left a voice mail and told me the door had arrived and for me to call them to get it installed. When I called them back the next day they answered right away and we set up an appointment for the next day to have it installed. My only difficulty was getting a hold of them. Of course they always say it’s because of the Christmas rush. I was a little disappointed in that. When the door came in the design was slightly different from my unit. We concluded that they changed the design so he had to adjust the old door after he contacted LG technical service center. That wasn’t Anthony’s problem. That was the supplier. The adjustment they made seems to have solved the problem I had. First worker that was here didn’t seem to care to work with me at all, that he was in a hurry to get to the next project. The next guy was just the opposite. He was very cooperative and didn’t mind my asking questions. He took time to explain to me about the refrigerator and other LG appliances I had. He was real easy to work with. I actually suggested the solution to the problem.
Description of Work: Anthony’s Appliance is the authorized repair service for LG brand. I just bought an LG refrigerator that needed repair and they repaired it under warranty. They came out last week.
