"We could not be happier having hired Joe for a huge job. Our basement was a mess of 60 year old cast iron and a hodge-podge of repairs done by various prior owners. While other companies came out and told us what a nightmare the job would be and quoted us in the $5000 range, Joe calmly assessed what needed to be done, came up with plan and estimated half the cost. He removed every drain line in our home, sinks, tub and toilet, replaced everything with PVC and tied it in logically to the outgoing sewer line. He made sure that all his work was up to code and that we understood each step he was undertaking. He also ran a hot water line so we could install a dishwasher and put a new shutoff on our incoming water service when he notice that ours was in danger of failing. Joe did all the work himself in a single day, checking with us any time he felt we needed to be informed of what he was doing and why. He was punctual, professional and precise. We were also pleasantly surprised when his office called a week later just to be sure things were operating properly and that we were satisfied with the work. That kind of customer service and attention to detail even after the fact is quite rare these days. We look forward to working with Joe again for any plumbing needs we have. We highly recommend him from the smallest jobs to the largest. When we finish the second story of our cape style home, I have little doubt that Joe will be doing the work."

"They truly live by the code of "you get what you paid for". The price was cheaper than expected (and they included a free estimate too). So ultimately, our slow bathtub drain was cleared. However, the technician had terrible housekeeping. After stripping the caulking around the overflow valve, they left the caulking pieces in the bathtub and told us to flush them down the drain (?!). They said the provided bio solution would clear the pieces just fine...but why do that when a trash can is less than a foot away?? Then, they did not offer to reseal the valve they just opened...just left a mess for us to pick up. As such, we will not be using them again next time...free estimate or not. If we wanted the bare minimum, we would have done it ourselves."

"We could not be happier with choosing Unique Indoor Comfort for our new HVAC system. We found this company by being referred by a client of my husbands. The original duct work in our house was extremely undersized, over working our unit and not creating good airflow to reach the third floor of our town home. Reni came out to our home, and took the time to explain to me options with Unique to really make our new HVAC unit/system efficient and comfortable temperatures in our house. I really appreciated his kindness and patience with me with all my questions. Unique was able to get us scheduled within a week or finalizing the contract, just in time in end of April when the first heat wave hit. It has been almost two months now since Henry and Matt installed our new HVAC system (they both were friendly and did an excellent job) and we are truly enjoying it. With a new baby in the house, it is a relief to have this new unit and ability to cool down our house quickly and efficiently. I know it is a lot interviewing and getting quotes from different HVAC companies - it is a big investment. This company truly stood out for us and were able to work with our budget and our needs for our home. They were the only company who proposed how we could add an additional vent to allow more airflow, and to redo the duct work to the proper sizing for our house and up to code. "I had a very negative and unprofessional experience with Horizon Services. I signed a contract with them. When it was time to service my AC unit, they cancelled my appointment and rescheduled it, only to cancel and reschedule it again, and yet they did it again! They cancelled my AC maintenance appointment three times over nearly a month period. The scheduler kept cancelling the appointment a few minutes before the appointment time, which was very inconvenient for me because I had to be home every time they scheduled. After the third cancellation, I asked the scheduler to escalate the case to a supervisor which he told me he did. But the Horizon customer service manager never called me back. I called again and escalated again, still the Horizon customer service manager never called me back. I called at least twice after that and was told that my case was already escalated to a female manager, but still she never called me back. All I got from the Horizon phone operators was repeated empty promises that “someone will call you back in 12 hours, etc.” But they never called back to commit to either providing the AC maintenance service or cancelling my contract and refunding my money in full. What makes matters worse is that none of the Horizon Services phone operators who answered my repeated calls was able to transfer me to a manager to speak with in real time. These operators said that they could only “email the senior manager or the concern department”. What a disappointment, and what a lousy excuse to ignore a contracted customer. I truly regret hiring Horizon Service and signing a contract with them and I will never recommend them to anyone. The failure by Horizon Services to provide the AC maintenance per the contractual agreement (it’s now mid-summer and my aging AC unit was not serviced to date) and the fact that their customer service manager never bothered to respond to my repeated phone complaints speak volumes about the unprofessional way they have treated me."

"Repair Service to Fix Gas Boiler - WM Henderson first sends out a tech who is not familiar with gas boilers and admits there is an issue but does not know how to diagnose it. I had to pay $89 for this. Instead of having the right person come out, I had to to actively call again to get someone else to come out. The 2nd tech diagnosed the issue, but wants to charge me the same $89 that I already paid. - and quotes me $380 for the repair - and has to order the part. I agree and then call back the next day to confirm part is on order - and they tell me the charge is $1,015. I asked to speak to a manager to discuss, and no one is available and no one calls me back. I bought the replacement part from a supply where house (confirming it works with my make/model of boiler) and it cost me $165. I have had other scheduling issues with them as well. Don't use them!!!!!!!!"

"When our 20-year-old AC had a lot of problems throughout summer 2020, we knew it was on its last legs, and it finally gave out at the beginning of the hot season in 2021. We had received 2 estimates for a new system in 2020 but weren't completely happy with either company. We got 2 new estimates and decided to go with Fahrenheit. Mike came over the day after we called and we were very impressed with his knowledge and responsiveness, as well as the fact that his team was able to do the install the very next day. The price was fair and similar to the other estimates we had received. The team arrived promptly the next morning. They installed the new unit, blower and compressor. They were clean and friendly and worked hard. The new unit has been installed for almost 2 months now and works great. I am very happy with our choice and highly recommend Fahrenheit."
