"As always very professional and timely. I've been with Croach since 2013, and have had no major issues. At one point, a couple years ago I notice a very active Paper Wasp nest growing on my Patio Arbor. I called Croach and within a couple hours, my service technician John, arrived and quickly took care of the infestation. I'm extremely happy with the friendly and professional service I've received from the Croach Team."

Ecosystem Pest Solutions is a front runner in solving your pest problem using knowledge and experience. With us, using pesticides or insecticides is the last resort. Habitat modification and the education we provide are key. Our mission is to keep your home pest free with real green, organic problem solving; a solution for you, not a bandaid. We are not interested in signing you up on any contract, just pure guarantees, from us to you. The true green, non-toxic approach is not using any pesticides or insecticides, whether natural or not. Natural products are still labeled as pesticides and can provide toxicity to the environment if used incorrectly. Toxicity is a result of overuse, no matter the product. Even water can be toxic. However, in some cases the “minimal” use of pesticides or insecticides may be warranted. For example, ant colony elimination can be accomplished with minimal use of ant bait….applied ONLY to the active site and ONLY when the activity is occurring….not before or after. Another example, Biocontrol (e.g., bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis) is a great option for those who want nature to do the work. This bacterium is a naturally occurring predatory and parasitic pest solution that thrives in healthy soil, and is toxic in pest intestines. The most fantastic part of this, B. thuringiensis isn’t harmful to honey bees, they’re immune!
"The recommended service was high priced, the termites were misidentified, an insect infestation was nonexistant and misleading information was provided that turned out to be misrepresented and simply wrong. Patrick identified the insects we found swarming in the house as termites. He showed us a very blurry photo on his phone that he claimed was evidence of termite mud tunnels. He suggested using Boracare, claimed it would be an effective treatment if used alone and stated that the treatment would penetrate the existing batt insulation under the house floor. He quoted us $2400, offered to come right away and contacted us a couple of times suggesting we schedule treatment. We were highly skeptical that the borate solution would penetrate the fiberglass and skeptical of the blurry photo of mud tunnels which he also said would be full of termite larva. We were somewhat annoyed with the rush to schedule. Subsequent inspections by two other companies found no evidence of termites only winged ants. No mud tunnels either. Turns out tunnels are for the workers to travel back and forth from the wood food source to the underground nests and are empty of larva. Turns out that borate treatment alone is not effective and that it doesn't penetrate the wood very well much less penetrate batt insulation over the wood. In our opinion this company made a sincere attempt to sign us up for expensive and unnecessary services. We were provided wrong information about the existence of termites and about the suggested treatment."

"We use Doug regularly to fertilize our trees and shrubs, and to keep pests like lace bug and root weevils under control. He is knowledgeable, punctual, professional, and responds quickly to address any problems that crop up. He even saved our maple tree from verticillium wilt and gave it a good pruning. We highly recommend him."

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:
Heat treatments
Freezing treatments
Traps
Barriers
Chemical pesticides
Fumigation
Rodenticides
Mechanical devices
Repellants
The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.
For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.
There are specific methods for pest removal that you can DIY without hiring an expert. If you are preventing pests from making an appearance or clearing out a small infestation of harmless insects, you will likely have success on your own. However, if you’re dealing with pests that eat wood, bedbugs, or other pests that carry a disease risk, like rodents, it’s always worth it to call a pest professional to help you.
Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.
While not every infestation is preventable, there are some actions you can take to minimize the risk of running into these pests in your home. These actions include:
Keeping your home tidy. This includes vacuuming regularly, sanitizing your kitchen, storing food in airtight containers, disposing garbage regularly, and keeping your home clutter-free.
Deep clean at least twice a year. Deep cleaning neglected crevices and corners of your home can help prevent breeding grounds from forming.
Repairing your home when needed. If your home has cracks or holes, you have an open invitation for pests to come in. Remove any standing water and seal any gaps in your floors, walls, and foundation.
Cleaning up your yard. Keep shrubbery and branches well-trimmed and away from your home. Remove fallen leaves and other debris.
Be smart with storage. If you use firewood, store it away from the home (at least 20 feet away if possible) and off of the ground.
