General and structural pest control, rodents, moles, rodent exclusion, crawl space/attic restorations and insulation
Three traps were set. Within two days, one of my Labrador retrievers was sniffing around one trap so I assumed one mole had been caught. The contract said the technician would be back "next week" to check the traps, but the week passed with no contact. I telephoned and requested the trap be checked, and he came out. He told me he found a mole and removed that trap, but would leave the others intact. My dog continued to sniff around the hole where the mole had been captured. I called again, it was the same day as the visit, and asked if there was a residual smell that stays around after a mole dies. The technician told me there was an odor, and he would come by and place a powder in the hole to handle the odor. Before he even came by, my dog dug up the soil, and six inches, perhaps slightly less, into the hole was the dead mole. The mole had never been removed. The odor was due to the dead mole in the ground. The technician never told me he left the mole there. When I finally reached the technician, he told me he left the mole to "deter" others. When I questioned why he had not shared this information with me and talked about a powder for mole odor, he told me we had a communication error. There was no communication error. He neglected to remove the mole and did not "communicate" this information. He knew my dog had a good nose. I am just lucky I was present and removed the mole. I don't know what my dog would have done with it. I have never dealt with a rodent removal company that does not remove the rodent after it is caught in a trap. I asked him to remove the remaining traps as I no longer consider him trustworthy.
Description of Work: I needed moles removed from my yard. I had visible tunnels and mounds.
