Going back to 1973 when Dennis C. Braendel started the company with one used truck and a step ladder, his policy then and still today is 'Our customers are satisfied customers.' In 2004 Jeff Catrabone branched out to the western New York region, bringing a braendel shop to the Buffalo community. He moved to Buffalo with two painters and one van, the buffalo branch now has over twenty painters and ten vans. Braendel has recently bought a new stand alone building in Tonawanda, NY and continue to build a bigger and better company. Most experts would not recommend hanging wallpaper over existing wallpaper more than twice. Even if the walls are in good condition and primed well, that third layer of wallpaper could cause problems with adhesion. Unless you like bubbling paint and peeling wallpaper as an interior design choice, it’s better to remove at least one existing layer before adding any more to a wall.

Walls should be as smooth as possible before applying peel-and-stick wallpaper. Although you technically can apply wallpaper on textured walls, the peel-and-stick variety won’t last long without a clean, smooth surface for the adhesive to stick to. If you have textured walls, consult a pro about removing the textured finish before moving forward with wallpaper.

While peel-and-stick wallpapers require no time to cure, the adhesives for other types of papers will take a day or two to dry and up to three weeks to fully cure. The differences are the type of paper, the type of adhesive, and the humidity and temperature in the space.
