+ -1 moreHe always showed up on time. Works efficiently and professsionally and amazingly fast without cutting corners. He brings in his own spotlights and blower fans to speed drying between paint coats. He is extremely organized, neat and cleans up each day. He even hung my curtain rods and new curtains and rehung the drapes in the living room. I couldn't have been more satisfied. Don will do whatever needs to be done for great results. A winner!
Description of Work: Painted 3 large rooms plus painted and added new baseboards, painted all the doorways and door jambs in 5.rooms plus closets. Don is a perfectionist and true professional. Very easy to work with with a great sense of humor and lots of patience. I wouldn't use any one else.

+ 0 moreDon arrived early every day, worked hard--even during the hotest days in July--with no air conditioning--to complete the job. He was pleasant, professional, trustworthy and capable. He was respectful of the house and for our loss, helping me with suggestions on improvements that wouldn't cost much but which would make a great impact in the finished product and how the house was presented. He never complained when I added areas to be painted that had been previously discussed. He was more than fair when he added these areas to the final bill.I would not hesitate asking Don to do work in my own home or recommend him to my friends or other family members. He is a true professional. You will not be sorry! :)
Description of Work: I found Don Szyjka and Great Walls thru Angie's List. The last customer had indicated that they were trying to get their parents house ready for sale after their passing. They reported that it was not only hard to deal with the death of parents but also the task of getting a well-lived in house ready for sale--overwhelming. When I read that -- it reached out to me. I called Don and asked for a quote. I wanted some areas painted and wallpaper removed and the wall repaired. He made suggestions along the way and even suggested I not paint areas which I originally thought needed it. His price was right--not the lowest, but I had a "good feeling." I asked Don to do the job updating my parent's home. The kitchen alone was a major project. There are so many doors and drawers. They look great!!

+ 0 moreWe were removing and restoring 61 years of life from our parents home prepping for sale.Don arrived promptly everyday, keeping things neat and clean daily.Installed new fixtures and medicine cabinet in the bathroom.Installed new lights fixture in hall. If we ran into trouble with something we were working on around the house he offered help or suggestions Obviously Don's painting services go above and beyond. We were so pleased he was hired by another family member for wall paper removal, wall repair, and painting, another job completed efficiently and beautifully. As of 6/12 another family member is hiring Great Walls. We can't thank Don enough for all his help during a difficult time.
