Commercial & residential electrical contracting. Sales and service of major appliances

"Worst. Experience. Ever. Why is there not zero stars? I ordered a dishwasher and washer / dryer with this company. I thought I was doing the right thing giving the job to a small store instead of a big chain. Big. Mistake. They happily took my payment in full a MONTH before the installation was meant to happen (in hindsight I should've told them 50% on competition but I had a weak moment). I didn't hear a word from them for weeks after payment, until the date was nearing when I started emailing asking for some information please (!). I was told they were on track with the original date they'd promised. So far, so good. The morning of that date (no kidding, about an hour before the installation was due to happen - and only after I emailed again asking for an update) I was told that, no, the dishwasher wasn't in stock. AND they didn't know when it would be. But don't worry, we're still going to install the washer / dryer you ordered. Ummm... okay. So I canceled the order for the dishwasher and asked for immediate refund (out of principal) and then had to go out while my wife waited for the installers. She called me after they had left. They literally left the washer / dryer in our mudroom (instead of the closet that is designed for a washer / dryer) because "they couldn't fit it in". This is AFTER I've told the salesperson (Sue) to please not give me any appliances any bigger than our last ones for exactly this reason. So now, after a month of waiting, I'm left with no dishwasher and a huge washer / dryer in the mudroom, without the slightest idea what to do next. I guess I call a handyman to help me get it in, at more expense. Appalling. Never again. Avoid like Covid-19."

For several years we have won "Best of the Berkshires" and are proud of it! We sell all major appliances under the Whirlpool umbrella including Maytag, Kitchenaid, Amana and Jenn-Air. We also service most other major brands such as Frigidaire and Kenmore. Special financing is available to qualified buyers and most deliveries and removals are FREE!

"Mike is pleasant but Sue is rude and unprofessional. Never told us until we tried to confirm repair appointment hours prior to scheduled time that they ordered the wrong part- Sue was neither apologetic or helpful. Very dismissive and not a very good ambassador for this business"

Heavenly Heat Infrared Saunas are made for the chemically sensitive. That means that our infrared saunas create an ideal, safe, and effective detoxification environment for anyone seeking to eliminate toxic substances from their body.

"Terrible! Wish I had gone with another company. Here is the issue with Heavenly Heat. If your sauna arrives damaged or and issue arrives -- they have zero technical support. Your repairs will be done by any "joe" that heavenly heat finds to do the repair in your area. They will have no experience with Sauna's and are given no instructions regarding the chemical free aspect of these sauna's. The worst part is the buyer, me, was treated as if I was the problem for wanting my sauna repaired correctly. I would have refused the delivery had I realized I was receiving a damaged sauna and would have to spend hours and days trying to get this resolved. The owner, Bob Morgan, is extremely responsive before he has your money but after, is a different story. When inquiring about the sauna he would respond generally within 10 minutes. After you purchase, and particularly if you have a problem with it, you are treated as if you're a nuisance. My sister bought a competitors sauna around the same time and the service she received from knowledgable representatives was a world of difference from my experience. My other issue was that there were shipping delays and Bob would never communicate them. I would have to pursue him to get information. I think they make a decent sauna but I would not recommend for reasons stated above."

Appliance sales FAQs

If you’re debating whether it’s worth repairing a damaged appliance, consider a few factors, including the appliance’s age and the cost to replace it. Large, high-value appliances are worth repairing, especially when the fixes are minor and the appliance is only a few years old. However, if the cost of repairs is more than half the price of a new item, then it may be worth replacing it. For example, if your refrigerator repair costs continue increasing and add up to more than 50% of the cost to replace it, you’re better off buying a new one.

Typically, most appliances last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, depending on the appliance, brand, and amount of use. Keeping a regular maintenance schedule, including cleaning and tune-ups, also helps appliances last longer. Dryers, gas stoves, and refrigerators tend to last the longest, averaging about 13 to 15 years. Microwaves and dishwashers tend to last about 10 years on average.

There are a few scenarios when replacing all kitchen appliances simultaneously makes sense, including major renovations, moving into a new home, or purchasing as a set. If you want to refresh your kitchen upon move-in day or start over during a renovation, consider purchasing and replacing your kitchen appliances at once to save on labor costs. Also, if your appliances are all original to the home or are older and require increasing amounts of maintenance and repair, replacing them all at the same time may be a good option.

In most cases, appliance warranties do not transfer to new owners. However, some exceptions apply. To check the status of your appliance warranty and whether you can transfer it when you move, review the terms and conditions of your warranties or consult your home warranty service. When purchasing a new appliance or one from a previous owner, be sure to pay attention to its warranty status, including the type of coverage and any exclusions.

The cost of home appliances ranges from $350 to $8,000 or more, depending on the brand, type of appliance, and features. Additional cost factors include any hookups that need to be installed, such as gas, plumbing, or electrical. Keep in mind that major appliances, such as refrigerators, washers and dryers, and water heaters, will cost more than minor appliances, such as microwaves, due to the size, complexity, and essential nature of the item.
