S & S Appliance

The freezer section of my refrigerator stopped freezing food, so I called S & S Appliance to repair it. The technician removed 2 panels in the freezer and showed me what he called a bad frost pattern. He told me that the refrigerator was leaking Freon and was slowly dying, and that I needed a new refrigerator. He said that if I bought a new refrigerator from S & S, they would credit me one half of the $90.00 charge for the service call. The next day the freezer was working fine, and has continued to function properly for the last week. It has not been running more than it had before, and the temperature settings are exactly the same as before the incident. There had been something wrong when I called, but it obviously wasn't what he told me. He did not check or troubleshoot any components at all. If whatever component that caused the problem before causes more problems, I certainly will not call S & S Appliance again. I called them to request a refund, and was told that no matter what happens, if they actually go to anyone's home the charge is $90.00 whether anything is accomplished or not.

My air conditioner wasn't working. I called S and S to request a quote. They came on the same day! In order to give me a quote, the technician had to take the unit apart. He discovered that the fan was and quot;frozen.and quot; He got it moving again and waited to be sure that the unit was working properly (it was and is!). He reassembled the unit and said there would be no charge. Yes, I would definitely recommend them, and yes, I will call them if I need any service they cover.

We recently had a problem with our refridgerator, and they gave us some advice on what to watch for. They're a very proactive company. It's a small town and everyone knows them. They're a great family business.

They were great, and extremely professional. They are always on top of it, and very customer service oriented. When they delivered, they were always on time.
