Mike's Maytag Home Appliance

Mike is pleasant but Sue is rude and unprofessional. Never told us until we tried to confirm repair appointment hours prior to scheduled time that they ordered the wrong part- Sue was neither apologetic or helpful. Very dismissive and not a very good ambassador for this business

Only a preliminary call to see about future appliances and my immediate impression, while over the phone and not in person, was favorable. He told me all about his experience and the appliances he carries and repairs. I feel confident I will buy from him and NOT a big box store! He sounds like he knows his stuff!!!_x000D_|

I PROMISE that I will NEVER stray from Mike's Maytag again!!!!! We first came to know this business 26 years ago when we bought our first washer and dryer. Even when as a young parent I (yes, I confess!) overloaded the washer regularly, and had to call Mike's for servicing with alarming frequency, his people have been ALWAYS prompt, polite, professional, and thorough. Repairs are done right the first time, no matter how long it takes. It is HIGHLY unusual that they don't have the part right on hand. We bought one dishwasher from him that needed only one repair over 10 years. Again, service was done with a smile, and done right at very reasonable cost. Unfortunately, Mike does not service the brand of stove or refrigerator that I bought from his competitor...the ones I greatly regret buying...but that is another review! I gave up on the and quot;newand quot; dishwasher after two years of repeated disappointment, and went back to Mikes, hat in hand, to get a new one from him instead. I was welcomed back into the store. He immediately steered me from the expensive brand that I thought I and quot;hadand quot; to have to a much less expensive one with the words and quot;This one will make you happier and cost you less.and quot; I can not wait to replace the stove and refrigerator that I bought from that same competitor, and it won't be from anywhere but Mikes. I ALWAYS mention Mike's to people who might be appliance shopping, and they always thank me later.

I just moved to the area from PA, and we are renting a home until we find one to buy. Of course, the first time try the dishwasher, it poured water all over the floor. We called the homeowner who called Mike's Maytag, and they made an appointment in less than 24 hours. The homeowner and I were surprised to see the President (Mike himself) drive in the yard! It turned out to be no real problem, but Mike was professional, courteous, and helpful. He gave me tips on the machine, proper detergents, etc., and when he learned I was new to the area, he recommended other professionals (mechanic, plumber, even a dentist!). I went to his website after the service call and learned they also sell factory warrantied refurbished appliances as well, with financing. I feel like I have somewhere other than a big box store to go to when we find a home of our own - someplace that will stand behind what they sell, and answer the phone when you need repairs! We will definitely go back to Mike's Maytag.
