We are locally owned and provide service to Johnson County and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves on our level of customer service and attention to details. We take great pride in our projects and level of craftsmanship. We have the customer references to prove it!

"I reached out very late on a Tuesday evening and they replied promptly that same evening and got me on the schedule for the next morning. They were able to replace a capacitor and get the fan working again and the furnace is working great. My furnace is 20+ years old and I was impressed that they never once pressured me to buy a new one. They focused solely on getting it repaired and did so. Thank you!"

Home Warranty prides itself on providing the best value in the home warranty industry, making our Home Protection Plan the home warranty of choice wherever we do business.

"PSA: DO NOT PURCHASE ANY HOME WARRANTYS! If you are purchasing a home and the seller is offering a covered home warranty, DO NOT TAKE IT! Instead, request for the seller to pay you the cash value of the home warranty(the seller is already going to purchase it as apart of the sale). Home Warranty's do not cover the parts/systems that commonly fail in appliances, so you're paying someone to diagnose an issue to find out that it is not covered. Take the cash for the price of any Home Warranty that is offered during the purchase of a home, and in general, don't purchase home warranty's, you do not benefit from them, only the company does."

"I ordered a part from this company for my dryer. They claim: 2 Day Quick Delivery! 365 Day Return Policy! Free Tech Support! I returned the unused part in their own packaging and they refused to provide a refund! Apparently, there's some hidden small print in their return policy that if you open the box and touch the product, that item is no longer eligible for a refund. They claim that the part showed signs of installation such as scuff marks. I asked for the part to be sent back to me for inspection by other professionals, but they refused because they disposed of the part. I've never encountered with such a scam company as this one and advise all to stay away from their misleadings! Good luck trying to get a refund from them, you're not getting one."

Residential and Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Indoor Air Quality and Ventilation

"I called to request an appointment for cleaning our air conditioner on a Monday and they were able to do it that Thursday. Service man arrived right on time and was very friendly and personable. Explained all that he did and provided the form to mail in for a rebate from Alliant. Anytime I have to call in to the office, I am treated like we are the only customers they have! Very friendly and helpful staff! We have recommended them to others."

"I called on this contractor to perform installation of gas line to the kitchen of my house. They did not come on the day of appointment citing they were busy with emergency call - I spent a day off work waiting for them to come. In the end of the day the called to tell they will come next day, which they did. On making appointment I agreed to pay $85/hr labor charges for plumber work. In addition to plumber they send helper and charged me his time at $60/hr. They did not tell me in advance about this additional labor and did not get my permission. The helper was incompetent at work. For example, the plumber told him to start the pilot light on gas water heater, that was extinguished during work. The helper failed to start pilot, and I found my house without hot water on the next morning. They billed total 2.5 hours. I timed the interval between the moment your employees entered the work site and the time they left it using my hand watch. The time interval was 2 hours and 3 minutes. Additionally the plumber claimed that he needed to acquire a 'nipple' for connecting the range to gas flex line from provided installation kit. He claimed he need to go personally to purchase the needed part, which took him 0.5 hours that were charged to me. On his return I called his attention to the adapter that was part of the range installation kit he had in front of him. I questioned why he would need anything else beside this adapter to perform connection. He claimed that the kit adapter 'usually does not fit'. After I demonstrated that the adapter fits perfectly into the range the plumber agreed that additional material was not needed. But they still charged me the time he spend shopping for unneeded part. On making appointment they promised that city inspector will come on the day the service was performed to issue the city permit on installation. The inspector never showed up. They charged me $75 for permit that was never issued. I believe they did not earn even half of the amount they charged. See other reviews for similar experiences and judge yourself."

Heating and air conditioning services FAQs

Knowing how long your existing HVAC units can last is essential to determine if you need a repair or replacement. Typically, most modern air conditioning units can last between 15 to 20 years, and most furnaces can work properly for 15 to 30 years. If your HVAC system is on the older side and you decide to replace one unit, it might make sense to replace both simultaneously to save on costs and future hassle.

While different HVAC contractors might offer higher or lower prices than competitors, the best time to replace your HVAC system is when customer demand is low. The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter bring the most demand for HVAC systems, so if you can, consider replacing your HVAC units in the early spring or fall. Many HVAC companies offer special off-season coupons that help lower the overall cost.

The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.

Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed HVAC technician could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The average cost of HVAC repairs is around $350. However, that price can be as low as $100 or as high as $2,000 or more, depending on the repair. For example, replacing a capacitor is a relatively inexpensive repair, ranging from $100 to $500. However, a compressor repair is a more expensive repair, ranging from $750 to $2,000.
