"Our small house, built in 1948, is excellently located, but all of the windows were outdated louver windows, which were drafty, allowed external noise to enter, and caused our heating and cooling to escape. We had wanted to replace them for years; however, previous quotes from other companies were well beyond what we could afford. We decided to try again this year and requested a quote from Smart Window Company. David Winkler promptly contacted us on January 18, 2025, and arranged a Virtual Consultation via Zoom for the following day as this was most convenient for us. During the meeting, he spent nearly two hours understanding our specific requirements and exploring available options, providing a detailed explanation regarding the custom replacement windows. He demonstrated professionalism and was approachable throughout the interaction. On January 20, we received our initial quote for replacing 11 windows with 10 new ones, as we opted to merge two old windows into a larger picture window in the master bedroom. All windows included a lifetime guarantee. Although another company provided a significantly lower quote without any guarantee, David diligently worked to adjust the price until it was comparable to the lower quote. Consequently, we signed the contract with Smart Window Company on January 28. The Installation Manager, Tom, visited on February 3 to verify the final measurements for the windows. He professionally explained the installation process and advised us on preparations. On February 8, he informed us via email that our project had been ordered, with delivery expected in 6 to 8 weeks. The windows arrived ahead of schedule, and we scheduled the installation for March 3. On the installation day, the three-man crew led by Bryan, the Crew Leader, arrived promptly at the appointment time. Bryan communicated effortlessly in perfect English with us, and in Spanish with Byron and the rest of the crew. He remeasured everything and verified each window's size. Unfortunately, one window had incorrect dimensions due to a manufacturing error. Nevertheless, the team proceeded efficiently and meticulously, removing the old louvers and installing the replacements within four hours. Bryan assured us that the correct-sized window would be expedited from the manufacturer. The job site was left clean and tidy both inside and outside. Today, on March 19, Peter, the Job Foreman, installed the remaining window, completing the task in less than an hour. We are extremely satisfied with the fantastic customer service, the excellent quality of the product and the workmanship and the overall dedication to customer satisfaction provided by the entire staff at Smart Window Company.
