For more than 10 years, Tyler has used his experience in technical writing to craft how-to guides, explainers, and recommendations for both technology and home improvement. From cleaning your gutters to installing the latest Nest Doorbell, Tyler has helped users discover solutions, learn what to do next, and find just the right product (or color, or contractor) to get the job done. He received his full Technical Writing certfication from Oregon State University in 2023 and has been published in Digital Trends, U.S. News & World Report, and My Family Handyman.
Landscaping in the high desert can be a challenge, but Tyler has worked to find ways to keep his property in Bend looking great, with a focus on water conservation and embracing the natural beauty of the nearby mountains. That includes keeping concrete from cracking during freezes and pests from marching in during the summer. When he’s not keeping the backyard from falling apart, he can be found researching new smart home trends.
