Family owned & operated. Roman Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is a family-owned company providing highly skilled, fast, efficient, courteous service since 1929. For all of your homes Electrical, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling needs repair or replacement, call Roman Electric, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. No subs. Travel charges apply. Overtime charges for 24 hour/weekend service.
"I am currently selling my home, during the inspection knob and tube wiring was discovered. The buyer had Roman come out to estimate the job. Now I understand that with a job like this, unexpected expenses happen however when the electrician arrived(the same guy that estimated) he took a walk around the home and decided that the cost is now doubled. This took the 10,000$ job to 21,300. With that being said how does one mis that much upon the estimate? None of the extra findings were concealed in any way. I feel that the guy roped me into a situation where I was at his mercy to pay the huge price tag due to my predicament with selling the home. On top of that the first words out of his mouth when greeting me was WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS! Super unprofessional. This may be an isolated a-hole within the company but maybe they need to vet their employees better."

The Herr family is in their fourth generation in the construction, environmental and trucking industry. In addition to all of the services we offer, The Herr Corporation also offers building demolitions, excavation, driveways, storm sewers, finish grading and heavy earth moving.
"I was impressed by the professionalism, transparency and thoroughness of the entire HERR team. From Todd's first trip out to our home to look over the project we felt we were in the best of hands. We did not even look for additional bids. Todd reviewed best case and worst case scenarios given our home and lot size, as well as a pricing spectrum based on our soil samples. As promised, Herr did not pester us to make a decision, but rather waited until we had what we needed in place to begin. Once we decided to move forward everything went as well as we could have expected. Todd sent us a detailed estimate and answered every question I had. Prior to the install Todd came out to the house to meet with the plumber doing the interior work so that everyone was on the same page. After the tank was installed we received a booklet of information including basic maintenance as well as diagrams of the placement of the tank and leech bed for our reference. We plan on calling Herr for our future septic tank maintenance and recommend their website for anyone even considering septic work to be done."

Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank professional could lead to poor quality work, added future expenses, and potential code violations. A licensed septic tank installer tackling your projects only protects you as a homeowner.

The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.
The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.
A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.
Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
