"Groundworks were contracted to encapsulate the crawl space, with a dehumidifier, intellijacks & sump pump. The inspector showed us pictures & videos of what the work would look like on completion, & explained how each solution would be installed. They tried to charge me more for vent covers until I showed them the contract covering this part. The foreman told me there was a reset button for the sump pump to be installed on an exterior wall, but they did not install it, instead said they would put in a service order. I haven’t heard anything about this issue yet. When they installed the moister barrier, they excluded the cement pads I was told it cost extra to have them covered. When I signed the contract, I was never told there would be extra charges for vent covers or cement pads to be covered. The contract I signed covered a complete encapsulation, but this is not what I got. This is a bait & switch. I would not recommend Groundworks."

"When I was getting bids for our paver project, one of the three bids I got was from Rios Brick Pavers. I asked Mauricio, the owner, why I should hire him. Without hesitation, he responded, “Because of the quality of our work.” He went on to say that his crew is great at what they do, and they have been with him for many years. He told me that there may be some competitors who will offer a lower price, but none will match his quality workmanship. Mauricio and his crew went on to deliver on his promise. We had walkways, a large gravel area, and a brick patio integrated into a beautiful and welcoming space that greatly enhances the usability and the look of our home. We could not be happier with the quality of the work and the finished look of the paver project. Mauricio was excellent on communicating status throughout the project. As there are with any project, there were a couple of unexpected challenges that he let me know about right away. The solutions he developed provided additional proof of the experience of his crew. "The work they did is top notch, I love our patio and couldn't be happier with what they've done with the space. They did a lot of work for us over two months to build a patio and beautiful back yard. We love it. That said, our home is a 70+ year old house in Magnolia with concrete pipes. A year or so after they did the work we had a backup. After the plumbers came out they found that a section of the piping had been crushed by a large rock that had been set while they were regrading the area. The repairs were ~15k all said and done then. I contacted Ryan and he looked into their insurance covering it and they weren't going to do it out of pocket. I value my time more than money and I let it go, and Ryan had some guys come out and fix the area that had to be torn up for free, least they can do. Well after they were done the plumbers spotted another crushed section that lined up and should be 'okay'. Fast forward a year, it wasn't we had another backup. They cleared it and we just had it fixed with another 5k bill. Ryan had said they wouldn't do it for free but 'hours and material'. They didn't give me a quote I shrugged and assumed it would be a mornings worth of work. They came out and spent two days, and they just handed me a bill for another $3200, to clean up after damage they caused and I'm paying for."
