"We first met Anthony when he came to troubleshoot laminate flooring work done by another company. While the experience with the other company left us a bit rattled, Anthony’s professional manner and experienced skill set put us at ease, and he fixed the issues. After he fixed the laminate issues, we showed him our carpeting on the 2nd floor. While it was in decent condition, it had rippled. Rather than try to upsell us to get all new carpet, Anthony stretched and reattached it, and all the ripples disappeared. When we have the budget to replace the carpet, we will definitely give him a call. Finally, we had another flooring issue unrelated to anything he or the other company had worked on, and we called Anthony to come for a consultation because we trusted his expertise on all things floor related. He is a knowledgeable, no nonsense Pittsburgh native whom we really like working with. We would recommend others meet with him to discuss their flooring needs."

"Thinking about new flooring? Think about Young Brothers for the job!!! I just purchased Luxury Vinyl flooring from Young Brothers, and they did a wonderful job on the installation. I wanted to remove the old tile so that I could have an even transition from kitchen to dining room. It was a big job to take out all the old plywood. They did a good job of keeping the dust to a minimum. They cleaned up after themselves on each of the 5 days. I am pleased with the flooring and installation. I would highly recommend Young Brothers. I have other floors that could be updated, and I would absolutely use them again. They had a lot of choices in flooring, make, and colors. I went with something that looked like wood and would match the wooden floors I had in the dining room."

"I wanted to take a moment to review Molyneaux flooring and the sales person, Rob Celedonia. After a preliminary phone call to discuss our carpeting project, budget, and timing, Rob came to our home to calculate the floor space as well present us with carpet options that matched our plan for the overall project. Rob demonstrated a deep knowledge and understanding of the various carpets, and delivered a matter-of-fact presentation of the products. What pleased me the most about Rob’s presentation was the lack of high-pressure sales tactics. More to the point, Rob encouraged me to take my time figuring out what we wanted to do, and left us various samples to assist us in figuring out what color/product we wanted to have installed, if anything. We were encouraged to evaluate other company’s products as well, which we did, but were hardly impressed by the competition. Home Depot, I’m looking at you. The product and pricing were far superior to anything anyone else was offering. Rob was exceedingly patient as he walked us through the process of explaining the various types of carpet Molyneaux carries, warranty information and differences, performance differences, etc. over the course of 3 separate consultations (1 in our home, 2 in the store). Throughout the process, Rob made us feel comfortable and confident in Molyneaux by maintaining a professional, no-nonsense, zero-pressure sales approach. We were just as impressed by the installers, Bob and Jay, as we were by Molyneaux’s products and Rob’s sales and product acumen. They were professional, cordial, and above all treated our home, furniture, and pets with an incredible amount of respect. In fact, they made a doggy-bed for our elderly mini schnauzer and carried him with them as they moved from room to room. Our dog absolutely loved it! On top of that, their skill and professionalism were absolutely unmatched. Within 2 days they removed and replaced carpeting on 4 sets of stairs, 2 hallways, 2 landings, and 3 fairly sizable rooms. They did a custom wrap on our barrel steps that every other company who evaluated them said could not be done. In the end, the new carpet has transformed our home, thanks in no small part to Rob, Molyneaux, and their installation team. I am quite impressed with Molyneaux, and I will definitely be reaching out to Rob Celedonia for our next flooring project soon."

"Jack came in with I’m old school personality but I do it right and gave us a massively high bid. We went with him because we like old school and were tired of dealing with shoddy work. Unfortunately it was not a good experience from the start. As soon as he sanded and stained the upstairs, there were large spots in multiple places, weird zig-zag lines, orbital scratches, and a total mismatch of colors between two rooms. Jack didn’t tell us about them and told us not to walk upstairs due to the stain. The color looked good from the stairs, and he went ahead and put the Bono laquer on (same laquer he used on an adjacent room last year). When we noticed these issues. Jack told us they were not his fault and it was the old wood. In hind sight we should have stopped there, but we had already been out of our house for 2 weeks. He finished the downstairs and the same issues were present, though arguably worse. He had to screen the floor to get all the orbital scratches out. We were now 4 weeks out of our house. He gave us an array of excuses, telling us he never say this before etc. He finished up. He also removed our trim and was supposed to come back and install new trim (we paid for it, sitting in our garage). At this point when the varnish dried we understood what had happened. The floor has issues everywhere. To add insult to injury, the wood he picked up and stained was too high and did not fit due to our outlets. We called Jack expressing what a mess the floors were. He came over and gave us more excuses. Jack blamed it on our wood (which it clearly wasn’t as there were no stains after the last job on them), then the stain (it was cheap minwax), and then the bono finish (the strangest one since the stains were there before the finish). He even brought his insurance in to try to have them cover the bill but they refused stating it was user error. We had 4 people come and assess them and got the same response from them all 1. He used an orbital sander on 100-year-old floors causing significant swirls 2 He used cheap minwax stain 3. He used his orbital and burned the stain into the wood (no Tbar, water pop, etc). 4. He was sloppy with the stain and dripped spots in various areas 5. He never tested the stain to see if it matched with his prior room We told him they needed redone. Due to the time it would take and situation we all though it best to get someone else to do it. Jack and I spoke multiple times and he agreed to compensate us for this. I said lets just split the difference. He said to get the floors done and send him proof that we did. We finished them (was several $1000 cheaper than Jack and took 2 weeks instead of 5 from him) and sent him the proof. He then pulled an about face and refused to reimburse us, going against his word. He said he would reimburse us some money back to help redo everything, and I got suckered again as once we had the floors complete, he refused. We used a different varnish that can be spot repaired due to our fear of having to redo the floors. Coming full circle in the saga, Jack put a sign up while he was working on the floors and my neighbor used him in her kitchen. She had exactly the same issue, a large spot on the floor. I called Jack out on it after the fact and he blamed it on cat pee from the past. The women actually resanded the floors and restained them herself without issue. No stain is there now…. We are out $15,000 (yes our fault for getting ripped off on the price). The most disappointment was Jack’s lack of standing by his work and his dishonesty telling us to have someone repair his mistake and he would return some of our money to pay. Yes, as you read this you are probably thinking what suckers. We just hope this avoids someone else getting suckered."

"These guys were efficient, respectful, and did excellent concrete work. The work was reasonably priced, and I was pleased with the result. I will say that they're a small operation, so their communication was pretty informal. But as long as you don't feel like you need a contractor with flashy brochures and such, these guys will do good work for you."
