"I must be careful as not to be sued! Apparently, per Pac West, you cannot post your experience without "hurting their business". I have moved a lot in ten years and always sued uhaul.com. They always were reasonably priced and did a great job. For some reason, I decided to use Angi and Thumbtack to look for a mover. I chose Pac West. They spent quite a bit of time with us on the phone to provide (what I thought was) an appropriate quote. Bottom line, we, ourselves, spent 4 days moving 1/3 of everything that was on the quote and still paid the same as was quoted. They claim years of experience but don't even have their own trucks. I could've gone and rented my own Uhaul and just paid laborers. OR done what I've always done and used uhaul.com. MY PERSONAL experience was terrible. Just be careful."

The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. "• In the beginning it seemed like they did everything right. In the end, they damaged the two items we asked them to be responsible to pack which were either very expensive or very sentimental. We packed everything else. As I reported the damaged items to them they took weeks to reply. They ended up picking up the damaged floor lamp to send to the lighting store in Albany for repair. But the crew that picked it up were in a hurry-up-and-get-it-to-the-truck mode, failing to prevent the various parts of the lamp from clanging into each other and causing more damage. I asked them to add more blankets to protect it. They then said "You don't have to be a d!@khead about it." I then asked for their names, and they refused to disclose their names. They then said they would be reporting me to their management. After they added more blankets they then started to move it to the truck, and then repeated the phrase "You don't have to be a d!@khead about it.""
