"Avoid working with Austin on a house project this year. We hired Carter Exteriors in June 2024 to replace our siding, expecting materials in six weeks. After months of delays and no communication, supplies arrived unexpectedly in late August. Weeks later, they called asking to start that morning. The subcontractors did great work, but Austin promised to quote us on a non-standard door and never followed through. Despite multiple follow-ups from September to November, we never got a response from Austin or the company. Now, we’re hiring someone else to replace the door and finish the siding."

They even took the time to answer our 11 year old son's questions and spent time playing a little basketball with him once the roof was finished!! The guys were always checking in with us to assure that we had no unanswered concerns. They cleaned up our property beautifully when they were finished and asked if we were satisfied with their work. "The positive: Graves Brothers will provide a quote for PARTIAL Siding projects where most companies won't talk to you unless you need a FULL Siding project. The installation team was quick and did a nice job. The Cons: Deceptive Sales. Your Typical Residential Home Services contactor. I had a complete east side siding replacement quoted. There is a 24" "Jog wall" between the exterior garage wall and the living quarters wall. Their quote included photos that show this wall in one of the views. A second photo shows the entire length of the wall outlined that includes this jog wall, but they did not replace the siding on this wall. A conversation BEFORE the project work started questioned if I intended on having the wall replaced and it was agreed that it should have been part of the proposal. The installers DID NOT replace the siding on this wall. I asked for a simple $500 credit and was willing to settle for a $350 credit which was more than fair. The Salesman insisted that seeing the wall was not assigned a "wall number" therefore it was not included in their proposal. Graves Brothers displayed ZERO interest in coming to a mutual agreement on the discrepancy. Update 7/19/2024: After continued conversations, the Sales Rep finally conceded that after speaking with his installers, that the work WAS included in the initial estimate and should have been completed. I gave Graves Brothers the option of discounting the price or returning to finish the work. They chose to finish the work which is scheduled this week. IMO, Speaking to his installation team should have been done PRIOR to him taking a flat stance with me that they were right and I was wrong. Give Graves Brothers Home Improvements a 3-Star rating for (finally) doing what was right. The installation was done well and the installers were professional, courteous and cleaned up well. Just make sure you document all conversations and get them in writing up front."

"This past August I posted a very negative review of Oaks Construction. I would like to rescind that now. Since that time, the owner Kris Oaks, personally got involved. He has worked very hard to resolve any and all of my issues and concerns. He has communicated with me regularly, assigned staff to work with me, and has done anything possible to make me happy. As a result of his efforts, I went forward and had Oaks Construction perform the work that I originally requested. His workers were both professional and did excellent work. He put a schedule together and stayed on schedule. The quality of the finished job is excellent. I can now wholly recommend Oaks Construction to anyone. They are responsive to their customers and do quality work. You will be extremely pleased if you contract with them. I know am."

From the design, which was well suited for our home and exactly what wanted but could never put on paper to the actual construction. It looks amazing and adds so much value to our home.
