"I purchased a garage door 3 years ago. After receiving the incorrect door and a small wait the door was installed and worked great for 3 years. Then the inside latch broke and I called for service. A service technician came out and said I provided incorrect information, and asked if I had sent them a photo. A photo of the broken part was not requested when the service was scheduled. He stated the part had to be ordered from the door manufacturer and then offered some half-assed repairs he could make like added handles in various locations, since he thought the door wold not opening smoothly. Even though it opened smoothly for 3 years. I was told I would receive a call back with the cost of the new part. I never heard from anyone. A week later I called to request follow-up information. Still never received a call. I finally called the door manufacturer who provided the name of a service rep from a different company. They came out and fixed the door in 30 minutes, the day the call was made. In hindsight I am sorry I used Door Works, as they do not stand behind their work"

JR recommended a torsion spring slightly longer than the original installed by the builder. The reason was that the original had snapped after only three years, and while it could have been defective, the thought was that a spring slightly larger than that recommended by the manufacturer would create a better system. He also explained to me that there was no reason to replace the other at this point and that there would be no future savings in the case I did, that I would be charged the same now as later since the second diagnostic fee would be waived. Angel performed the installation. The consummate pro, he was extremely careful and exacting in all aspects of the job. Naturally, he made certain that the tension for both the new right torsion spring and the old left torsion spring was the same. A line is drawn across the length of the torsion springs so that the rotations can be measured. Angel also answered my questions as he completed the different stages of the work. I highly recommend Angel and JR. $350: an RHS-mounted torsion spring (225 30" 2") $75: diagnostic Tax Total: $460.00"
