"My neighbor in Newtown noticed a large bee hive hanging from beneath the eaves of my third floor and contacted me. She was very concerned that if it fell it would land next to her side door and the bees would surprise and engulf her someday. Even if it never fell the size of the hive indicated it should contain many bees and therefore a possible danger to her. So, after reading the reviews on "Angi" for exterminators in Newtown I called Green Pest Solutions. The next morning Matt from Green Pest Solutions called and said he had already looked at the hive and it was an abandoned wasp hive and was no threat since the wasps were gone and it would fall down on its own and there was no charge for his inspection and advice. I was amazed! How easy would it have been for him to simply remove the hive and charge me the going rate of several hundred dollars? I would have paid and not thought anymore about it. "There was excessive heating in 2 of our bedrooms. Invited AJ Perri - after a lot of loud banging, the technician said that we need 2 zone valves that will cost us $800 each for a total of $1,600+$100 for installation. I was able to find it on amazon for $73 each and the technician confirmed that I was ordering the right ones. He said he'd come over after the valves arrive. We called AJ Perri to schedule a follow-up appointment and were told that they won't install items that they didn't sell us directly! Went online and read a lot about these scammers - they have been fined repeatedly by the state for consumer rights violations. Will be filing a lawsuit against them soon. No idea how they have almost 5 stars on Angi's list - must be buying reviews from non-customers. These people are worse than used car salesman."
