The owner, Steve Sterling, began in the 1980s, installing custom wood stoves. This and previous chimney sweeping experience resulted in the creation of Carolina Chimney in 1996. We are a Certified Chimney Sweep Company and work with licensed personnel. We offer great rebates for our Regency products and also offer coupons for our services throughout the year. "PLEASE BE WARNED. This was our experience: After many delays, Steve *began* the work about 4 months after the estimate was done. Months after the job was *started* it was *still* not finished. In our case, he would not follow-through & show up when he said he would (this happened repeatedly, sometimes with excuses like weather, and sometimes with the excuse that he had too many other jobs going on). When a week or two would pass and we would follow up with him, he responded to us like we were bothering him and we were in the wrong. Moreover, the total bill was well more than what we were quoted. Steve is a jovial individual, exceptionally talkative, knowledgeable in his trade but the utter lack of integrity as far as follow-through (doing what he says he will) has been an utter nightmare and a terrible lesson for us."

"We worked with Zack Young to purchase and install an outdoor fireplace that would warm our porch. Based on his recommendations we purchased a specific costly type of fireplace. It projects minimal warmth and we are now being told that there is nothing additional to do and this fireplace will be primarily for show. Obviously, if we had this information prior, we would have made a very different decision in our purchase and, potentially, the design of our porch. Zack is no longer responsive to my inquiries and communications. Overall, terrible service and experience."

He showed up on the day agreed, earlier than his normal advertised working hours, and moved the pile in a matter of minutes at a great price. "I ordered a part from this company for my dryer. They claim: 2 Day Quick Delivery! 365 Day Return Policy! Free Tech Support! I returned the unused part in their own packaging and they refused to provide a refund! Apparently, there's some hidden small print in their return policy that if you open the box and touch the product, that item is no longer eligible for a refund. They claim that the part showed signs of installation such as scuff marks. I asked for the part to be sent back to me for inspection by other professionals, but they refused because they disposed of the part. I've never encountered with such a scam company as this one and advise all to stay away from their misleadings! Good luck trying to get a refund from them, you're not getting one."
