"I had a very positive experience with JCB and will definitely call them in the future when I need help. I wanted to completely change my kitchen but I didn’t want to shoulder the expense of new cabinetry. I spoke to Brandon about my vision (which was to have a rustic, distressed look on my kitchen cabinetry with coordinated accent cabinetry around the kitchen) and he gave me a lot of helpful info on the phone, even before I signed the contract. He came out to my home to show me what they could do, to make sure it was to my liking. His estimate also seemed fair. Once the job started, Brandon and Chris and Joe were kind and communicative, letting me know what they were doing each day and checking in for feedback. Because I wanted a unique, distressed look on my cabinets, they created the look entirely by hand based on my description of what I wanted. It was painstaking and labor-intensive, but they worked efficiently. The entire job was done in a week (they worked through the weekend) and I’m thrilled with the result. They also re-painted my walls, in a color that complimented the new cabinetry, and they replaced a light fixture. In addition to be very talented and building me a kitchen that I love, they are genuinely good humans, which is even more important. I’d highly recommend JCB."

Shaun talked to my HOA several times and even visited the HOA property management company to drop off and speak to them about my build. His two workers showed up each day even on the weekend to get the job finished in a timely manner. The 2 man crew did a phenomenal job with keeping my lawn as nice as they could and even replaced the dirt and bricks they had to dig up for the posts. Mike was courteous and knowledgeable, but, when we sat down to review the quote, the sales process turned into a bad car-buying experience. They started at $34,000, then "discounted" to $29,300—$10,000 -$12,000 higher than other quotes for the exact same unit. Even factoring in their warranty, they remained $8,000–$10,000 overpriced. Mike also claimed they were a four-generation family-owned business, but I later found out they’re owned by Sila Services, a Goldman Sachs private equity firm—which feels misleading. To their credit, canceling was easy (though I hadn’t signed a financing agreement or put money down). Bottom line: Get multiple quotes. Their pricing was excessive, and the sales tactics felt manipulative."

While you should always budget for surprises during construction, our estimate was itemized in detail, and showed what upgrades were available and their pricing.
