This company went above and beyond for my wife and me. We wanted a balcony with steps but we had an HOA to go through. Shaun talked to my HOA several times and even visited the HOA property management company to drop off and speak to them about my build. His two workers showed up each day even on the weekend to get the job finished in a timely manner. The 2 man crew did a phenomenal job with keeping my lawn as nice as they could and even replaced the dirt and bricks they had to dig up for the posts. This was the best experience we have had in a long time with contractors and I thank Shaun and Maryland Remodeling &Design/Build for restoring my faith in contractors.

The person got back to me with a bunch of quotes. My experience with him was good.

The owner, Shaun, visted our home, talked with us about the design, made measurements, and a few days later provided an estimate (including a computer aided design). After signing the contract he began work within two weeks. Shaun estimated the job would take about two months and it did. Shaun was always available and made good suggestions along the way (and without charging extra). His subcontractors are very courteous and all workmanship was excellent. Shaun does not provide an allowance for bath fixtures and floor covering (we used ceramic tile for the entire basement). However, he does provide an estimate and can suggest suppliers he works with. We used his suppliers who were very helpful and allowed us to use Shaun's contractor discount. This was one of the best remodeling jobs we've ever experienced.

I received an estimate from this company to install kitchen cabinets and a range hood, and cut down an existing cabinet. The project manager, Michelle, was extremely knowledgeable and showed me several examples of the work they did which was great. However, the price she quoted me($5500)for the work that had to be done was WAY above what other contractors gave me. I received a total of 7 estimates and ALL of them were under $2000. Not sure why this quote was so high.

Everything was perfect. He showed up on time. He gave correct estimates. He coordinated everything with the sub-contractors. Everything went smoothly. He was very courteous and polite. So were the sub-contractors he hired. He stayed within the time frame that he gave us.

We were very comfortable with Shaun from the first meeting, and felt that this was somebody that we could communicate with easily throughout the project. Our instincts were right. Shaun was available to us almost 24/7 to discuss progress and concerns. His crew leads and crew were all very professional, communicative, respectful, pleasant, and went out of their way to ensure our complete satisfaction with every aspect of the project. They did a really fantastic job. We have received numerous compliments from neighbors on how great the addition looks, and we are very pleased with the work that has been done. Every detail, down to the finish on the door hinges, was run by us to ensure we would be pleased. I would highly recommend this contractor to anyone who is looking for major remodeling with a moderate budget.
