"I had an extremely frustrating experience with LED excavating. They never answer the phone, respond to texts, making it nearly impossible to get in touch with them. I was only using them due to being recommended by Owenâ  s service, since Owenâ  s did so well I thought he would too. He came out last week and told me he needed to make some phone calls to the county, then BOOM he was gone and now wonâ  t respond at all. Their unreliability is a huge red flag, and I would strongly advise against working with them. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for more professional and responsive service. 1 star all the way."

"They Quote me a price of $250 and charged $260.00 did not flush the lines and beat the septic lid with a hammers till they broke it then they placed the pieces back together and placed the bird bath back over it to hide the fact they broke it. What gave them away was we noticed that the bird bath was leaning and not in the middle of the septic lid. When my husband called them to confront them they laughed at him. He told them they could replace it or we would stop payment on the check. They came to my house this morning three days after doing this they must have been hoping i wasnt home they didnt bother to knock but tried to replace it and leave. I came out side and three guys and one hateful older man we're messing with the septic lid, he asked me how i was doing I said I wasn't happy and he said this was done by a lawn mowers I said no it wasn't broken before your guy came out here and beat on it with hammers and there is no way to run over it when a bird bath has been on it since the house was built 20 years ago. We have taken care of it and Painted it and it was not broke. He said to me don't give me no crap lady we didn't break it and I told him yes your guy did. I told him I will never call your company again and he said do I look like I care lady. They are guilty they knew it that's why they tried to sneek on to my property and replace it and leave. They must think because I am a woman it is ok to talk to me like I'm stupid and i know nothing about the state of my property. I would think if you wanted to keep your business you would not treat your customers or talk to them that way. I would not recommend this company to clean a porta potty. WARNING BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!"

CSC

"I woke up to find my basement flooded with at least two inches of water. The plumber I use for smaller jobs does not do main drains but he referred me to CSC (Commercial Sewer Cleaning). I called then just after 8 a.m. They sent someone to my house the same morning. He used a huge heavy snake to clean the drain. It went perfectly. Eventually all the water drained into the drain in my basement floor. The plumber was efficient, friendly, and very professional."

Septic tank services FAQs

Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.

The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.

A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.

Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
