I returned the water heater, and they again connected me to Holthaus. Holthaus called later that same afternoon and scheduled for the next morning. Dan came out and installed the water heater and new stand in just an hour. He only charged $30 for additional materials related to new gas fittings. He was very polite, transparent, and thorough. However some of the work completed was unnecessary and really expensive. I asked ahead of time to be provided with an estimate and they didn't comply. My basement includes a living room, and 1 bedroom. The water damage was located in one area yet they removed ALL doors, 10 to be exact, 2 feet of drywall, baseboards, carpet, and a porcelain sink! The doors didn't withstand water damage yet they were removed. When I asked the technician about the door and sink removal his response was, "the insurance will pay for the replacement." They charged my insurance 16,000 dollars! Please don't go with this company unless they provide you with a quote before they start the work. "
