"This company was great to do business with. Al is the owner of the company. His people knew exactly what to do and when to do it and a huge driveway and parking pad came out perfect. Their bid was Fair to both me and the company. They did an excellent job on preparing the site and pouring the concrete. What everybody fears the most when they hire someone to work at their home is the people that are working there trustworthy? Are they going to be trips in and out of the house to use the bathroom? Al's people were wonderful. They did not make a mess outside leaving cans and bottles laying around all trash was picked up each day. They left everything all nice and clean and smoothed out some rough spots where the skid loader was at and where there was extra concrete dumped. I was really impressed with these people. I highly recommend them."

"Edgar’s communications via email, phone and text were great - he always responded quickly. And he always showed up on the day he said he would work. He and his team worked very hard day to day and also had very good manners. This was a big job - garage floor, corner lot with lots of sidewalks (personal walkways too) and spruced up front steps. My husband and I both agreed on 4 stars (which on this scale reads as good and 5 stars read as great but to me 4 stars = great and 5 = excellent). "Accu Level overpromised and underperformed. We reached out to have a simple job performed as part of selling our house. From the start, we were told the work could be performed prior to closing. Due to timing and this promise, we did not get any other bids. Upon receiving the contract, we paid the deposit within one hour. From this point on, there was no communication from the business that was not initiated by us. We texted our rep and called the office every day from this point on to see when the work would be scheduled. There was no proactive communication whatsoever. Finally, one day before closing, our real estate agent demand a date to be scheduled and it was scheduled two weeks after closing. Thankfully, we had a flexible buyer who was willing to close without the work being done. On the day the work was supposed to be scheduled, with no notice, it was postponed for another week and the buyer had to find a time to reschedule. This had to be communicated to me by my realtor and not the business. After the work was done, I reached out to our rep to explain how disappointed we were with the customer service. This was verbatim his response: "Please understand this is not our normal scenario and there were people let go/had responsibilities changed because of it." I asked to speak to his manager. Upon speaking with the manager, he said they weren't willing to do anything to make amends for the lack of customer service even with his rep openly admitting that they did not meet their promises. The manager quoted back terms of the contract to me that they are allowed to reschedule and I explained that this was not a contractual dispute, but a complaint about customer service when an employee openly admitted fault and he was not willing to take accountability for his employee. I asked to speak to his manager. This conversation happened two weeks ago and I'm still waiting for that call. Don't use this business if you want any level of customer service."

In most cases, yes, masons can build concrete forms and pour concrete for a variety of home improvement projects, including foundation pouring. Some masons may prefer to focus on more aesthetic and artistic masonry work, like building retaining walls, crafting custom fireplaces, tiling, or installing stucco siding, but most also have experience pouring concrete. You can always ask your masonry contractor if they also handle poured concrete projects.

Concrete can cure in 24 hours if the temperature remains above 40 degrees, but it might take up to 48 hours for the initial curing if the temperature drops close to freezing. You can speed up the curing process in cold weather by using accelerants, or you can insulate the slab or enclose and warm the area with heaters.

There are quite a few differences between concrete and asphalt. Concrete is more costly up front and more challenging to repair. Asphalt does better in cold climates and works well with radiant heat systems. Porous asphalt is also excellent for wet climates, as it allows the water to drain away.
