Description of Work: Last year I called Sherman Electric seeking information on an electrical matter and found Mr.(Sherman) Nicks very helpful and informative. Recently, when I discovered a short in my light switch panel (probably due to excessive brown-outs) I again called Sherman Electric and requested service plus a whole house surge protector. A day and a window of time were given. The technician scheduled for my job was running late so Mr. Nicks came himself in order not to disappoint! Amazing! Mr. Nicks completed the job with speed and efficiency and at the agreed upon price which was also amazingly reasonable. I highly recommend this company!

They had actually installed these Garden Lights 18 months ago and we must have had a power surge as two went out and needed to be replaced. They were there within a day or two and did the work in about an hour. Professional and efficient as always. I really am happy Angies List helped me find these guys.

+ -1 moreJudd was here promptly at 8:15AM, explained in detail what he was going to do. He worked quickly and competently - cleaning up after himself and leaving me feeling much safer and much wiser!
Description of Work: Repaired the "rigid pipe" which leads the electric into the house; the bottom had rotted out - exposing about 3 inches of wires. FP&L had come out, told me that yes, it was a danger, and yes, it was a fire hazard, but it was my responsibility to fix. A friend - and former colleague - referred me to Sherman Electric and the company has such rave reviews on Angies' List that I called Wednesday, explained the issue and they were here this morning.

+ -1 moreThe owner originally suggested that the work would take all day, but it was completed in just 4 hours. They left the work areas surprisingly quite clean, and had protected the floors with mats, as it was a rainy day. They even plugged in kitchen appliances after the power was restored. There have been no power issues whatsoever since the installation of the boxes. I would not hesitate to contract with this company again in the future.
Description of Work: 3 of the company's technicians installed a new circuit breaker panel and the attendant exterior main switch box, and performed some minor electrical work that was needed.

+ -1 moreThis is one of the most ethical people I have met we had him come out as a second estimate we were told by Suncoast electric we needed a new panel cost $2200 he stood in the rain for 45-60 minutes looking at our panel an and came up with it was a loose screw he tightened it and told us no charge we gave him money $75.00 for his time we were so appreciative. Its been 5 months and not one other issue he is our new favorite electrician! I cant express enough how impressed there are still great ethical people out there and Sherman Electric is one of the good guys.

+ -1 moreWe will never, ever use anyone other than Electrician other than Sherman again. Josh ( foreman) was AMAZING! Can't say enough good things abiut these guys. We had construction delays and they we so patient. We had to mov etheir install twice and the gal who runs the office is FANTASTIC. Ran into Sherman in a parking lot and gushed to him about how good his guys are at their jobs! We are working on a new master bath and will have them back to do all the electrical in that!
Description of Work: Replaced and relocated 30 ceiling light fixtures. Replaced switches. New Door Bell, Hung Fan, chandelier, hall lights

The two guys arrived on time, were very clean, worked skillfully and quickly, checked everything and cleaned up afterwards. They were happy to be here whether I was doing a large remodeling job (as when I first moved into this condo), or very small jobs (like installing a few more electrical outlets). I've engaged many electrical contractors over the years, and the Sherman crew is easily the best. Happy to recommend them highly.

Description of Work: Checked kitchen wiring to determine problem with GFC shutting down frequently, and radio interference when microwave is run. Checked feasibility of installing new (second) dryer type outlet for ceramic kiln plug. Deinstalled kitchen flourescent lights and installed new sets of task lighting. Very knowledgeable team of two electricians. Job well done.

They explained the scope of the work and took care of all of the permitting and inspection details. I had a lot of questions and they took their time to explain everything very clearly.
