Our heater had not been working for several weeks before I contacted Atlas. I explained the situation and asked if they could provide an estimate to replace the system and arrange a service to repair the existing heater in the mean-time. The estimate appointment required one reschedule; the estimator was sick and called the morning of to reschedule. They ultimately determined that our crawlspace clearance would not accommodate forced-air duct-work. The repair went flawlessly. Their serviceman arrived 8AM sharp, tested my thermostat and had an instant diagnosis. He went under the hours and 20 minutes later the furnace was working. He then tested the system from the thermostat, it worked fine. They waived the $80 diagnostic fee.

They were on time. The price was good. Very courteous. They came back to give me an estimate for a whole house heating system. I liked everything about them, I have nothing bad to say.

I work so I can't have an extended window of arrival time. They called and gave me a fifteen minute window of when they would arrive. They were there when they said they would be. They were very professional and polite.

We contacted Atlas for an estimate to replace our floor furnace that had died and been shut off by PG&E. A salesperson came to our home, discussed the various options, and recommended another floor furnace. We wanted another floor furnace. Brand new floor furnace was installed and it could not heat the home. Safety features did not permit furnace to get too hot and the living room (where the floor furnace was installed) never got above 65 degrees and this was in November! We were cold and disappointed with the salesperson for not fully addressing this issue and not aggressively steering us away from floor furnaces because of the safety feature. Work and life got in the way, so we were without heat for November and December and it was bloody cold (had to buy a portable heater). Eventually, Atlas made good. The owner of Atlas and his son (a family run business, that's why we choose them), personally came to our home, spoke with us and mapped out the work for central air. Bob Tuck, his son and all of the workers from Atlas were professional, respectful, and we felt they did an excellent job.

They did a good job of servicing the machine and providing recommendations. Their cleaning cost was an A, however their replacement quote would be an F. I was quiet surprised by their quote. It was twice the cost of other bids that we had received. We decided to use another company for the replacement because of this reason.

It went fine. They did not meet all the inspection codes, so they had to come back. They did not get it done based on the estimate that they gave us. The cost stuck right with the estimate that they gave us.

It was an A experience. The people that came out were very respectful around my home and nice to work with. They made sure we understood what they were doing and left everything cleaned up.

Kerin the technician was polite and informative. I advised him that I planned on replacing this furnace with a high-efficiency one, so that if it was repairable, but would cost more than $300, to stop and let me know, so as not to waste money. He spent an hour and a half fiddling with it, advised me halfway through we were approaching $200, and that he would try one more thing which might get us close to $300, and if that didn't work we would call it a day. He did finally find a transformer in his truck that would work, after much trial and error, and came in below my requested limit. He was agreeable and worked with my requests and budget. Great job!

They came in and gave a great, thorough presentation to explain exactly what they were going to do to educate us. The work was completed promptly and they were very clean, pleasant and extremely courteous. They coordinated well with other contractors here at our home working on various projects. We got a 95% efficiency furnace and we are extremely pleased with how well the work turned out and we would definitely recommend this company to anyone who wants a professional job done.

The work done and the service was terrific. The technician arrived early the next day. After examining the furnace he found that the problem was actually the failure (after a very long life) of the tired old motor. However, because of the age of the furnace, he wasn't sure that they had a replacement motor and, if not, how long it would take to get one. My cat and I, and the technician were freezing! He got on his radio and within an hour another van from Atlas arrived with a replacement motor. The motor was installed, the blower and housing cleaned, the furnace started up and checked out, and we were warming up. From beginning to end everyone connected with Atlas -- from the receptionist who took my first call to the technician--was courteous, sympathetic and ready to solve this problem as quickly as possible. When I replace my furnace, you can be sure that they will get my business.

They responded to estimate request quickly. Mike came out on a weekend and looked around, measured some things, then punched some numbers and left us the quote. He said he would recommend max 90% efficiency furnace as any higher would be too noisy and that we needed 80K BTU. He said they could come take old unit out in a few days since we wanted to do some seismic work in garage but new unit could not be installed for 6 weeks (December, but we just bought the house). Another vendor had heat installed within 2 weeks, 95% eff furnace at 60K BTU (and we had to talk him up despite his 50K recommendation), for $4k less and that system is awesome and not too loud at all. This leads me to think Atlas is overselling or just overbidding since they did not want the job--I mean 6 week backlog says your busy, you could just say so! Estimated cost was $10,500.

They didn't try to talk us into more expensive options. Very thorough in their work.

Atlas was very punctual. They were just very good. They were also good about showing up after the fact to make a few minor corrections. I found that they were nice people.

Very well. Mike Sherman was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions - even to come out again to go over things. The installer was wonderful - he treated the installation as if he were doing it in his own home - he figured out how to install an additional necessary duct without having to create a new hole in the wall - the fix everyone else had suggested.

We were very satisfied with the price they gave us and the installation went very well. The men were courteous and very professional.

We have a young son and our furnace stopped heating so we needed to get someone out as soon as possible to fix it. The men came very fast, found the problem to be in the thermostat system, replaced the part and cleaned out the unit. They then tested the unit and left. The next day the unit died again and they were at my home immediately, fixed it once again and it hasn t stopped since. This is a very reliable company to use.

My furnace died during a cold snap. Atlas was busy and gave me an appointment a week later - which was fine with me. Atlas called a few days later to tell me they had a cancellation and would I like to have a technician come by earlier, or keep my original appointment? The technician was very nice and knowledgeable. He explained everything to me and told me how I could maintain the furnace myself to cut down on regular maintenance visits. He also discussed the relative costs of replacing my furnace vs. continuing to repair it and talked me into the latter (cheaper!) option.

He had to replace a circuit board. He was on time and completed the work in a competent manner. He also checked out my burners and wall for problems.

They had no one to help, so went to another service.

Everything is working perfectly. The work took longer than estimated, but they stuck with the original cost estimate.

From the estimate process through the completion of the work Atlas was thorough, informative, professional and detail oriented. Estimator and installers arrived promptly at at the times scheduled, and demonstrated a knowledge of the product and an interest in the customer making themselves available to any questions, and suggesting possible options and cost saving options. They covered the floors in all the interior work areas, and left the garage and outdoor area where the heating and A/C were located clean and back in order.

I can't say enough good things about the service that we received. We had been told by another company that the motor was defective and it would cost over $600.00 to repair. Ian found that the problem was a door switch that was not engaged causing the unit to shut down.

Eric did an excellent job. He was quick, tidy, extremely pleasant, and thoroughly answered all my questions regarding the condition and operation of the unit.

Arrived at appointed time. Did a thorough job.

The work crews were very professional. They arrived on time and did not leave a mess. Although there was a miscommunication on some follow up work, it was rescheduled and done on time.
