They removed the old tile and replaced all of the drywall and installed new backsplash. They did a fantastic job, their workmanship exceeded our expectations. Brian & Chris did an outstanding job!, we couldn't be happier! They installed subway tile and glass tile in separate areas of our kitchen and both look great. They arrived on time, cleaned up when finished and made sure that we were satisfied when the job was completed. We had the old tile removed by another company and new counters installed prior to the backplash installation by Davey Tile. Brian and Chris had to redo some of the drywall work in order to get the new tile to lay flat. They also picked up additional tile for us as we did have enough end pieces on hand. Jim Adams was one of the tile installers recommended by a company we visited that sells tiles. When we called him for an estimate, he got back to us right away and set up an appointment to do the measurements. He was punctual for the initial appointment, and he patiently answered questions that we had about the job. He also gave us helpful suggestions. A couple days after doing the measurements, he sent us his estimate, which was very reasonable; in fact, it was the lowest estimate among those that we received. When it was time to do the actual job, he was again very punctual. He is very meticulous in his work, and we were completely satisfied with the final installation. He worked with us very well. They showed up on time the day they began the demolition of the old kitchen countertops and backsplash. By the end of the workday, most of the new kitchen countertops were installed and the sink & dishwasher were hooked up. We have a large kitchen with lots of counter space so this was more than I hoped they could accomplish the first day. I have a cooktop on the island and they reinstalled my cooktop the next day. The countertops look wonderful. They did a great job with the tiles on the backsplash in the kitchen as well as the bathroom. On the day the tiles were being installed, it was very cold (21 degrees) outside. The tile cutting machine had to be kept in our garage, with the door open. A tile cutter uses water and it kept freezing. I felt so badly for the tile installer because his fingers had to be frozen most of the day. You can imagine how often he had to go out there to cut tiles for both backsplashes. He could have packed it up and gone home for the day but he didn't! He kept working until every tile was on the wall. Both backsplashes look great. We have been very happy with the way our kitchen and bathroom look. The best advice I could give anyone who is thinking of getting new countetops: Take your time in making a decision regarding the countertop materials. There are so many options out there and there are pros and cons to every type of countertop. All the people I dealt with from Kitchen Fronts were as nice as they could be. They don't subcontract their work so everyone who worked in our home was an employee of the company. They made the transition go as smoothly as possible. Chris and Brian were great to work with. Chris is not only a master of installing but a real design consultant as well. It was a pretty sizable job but the work was done fast and well. We had Levi's install tile within our kitchens and bathroom. Everything was installed as planned, albeit it took a couple of extra days to complete. (It was reasonable.) Carifa Tile did an amazing job on my kitchen job. Joe was extremely communicative and helpful every step of the process. His team did incredible work putting in a glass tile backsplash along with LED lights under the cabinets. They did a very nice job installing the backsplash. They had to come back for a very small amount of work due to the tile shop not having all the tiles needed.
