"traps were set and checked daily, and deactivated for each weekend. they checked/or stopped by to advise 2-3 times over more than 2 weeks. ultimately 2 squirrels were evicted. they tried to remove the nest with 2-3 crew making the attempt with a 40ft ladder, but it was stuck midway down the chimney; they pushed it down far enough, however, that I was able to remove it from my fireplace inside. I also had them install a chimney cap. They really put the work into this job, and were on-time and professional. I appreciate the time and effort."

"It pains me to write this review, but I think it's important for potential customers to know what happed to me so that they can avoid this. I had a backup in my sewage line and it contaminated two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms was a 1/2 bath connected to a larger laundry room with uniform, layered tiling throughout the entire space. ServPlus came to clean up, sanitize, and remove contaminated material. They removed all the tile flooring in the 1/2 bath by basically just cutting the layers of tile out - leaving the remaining tile layers exposed in the laundry room portion (about 2/3rds of the space). Prior to doing so, it's critical to do an asbestos test - this is pretty basic stuff, esp with the age of the home and the layered older tiles. I thought this was a professional & knowledgeable company and didn't even think to question that they had done this testing. This has been an extremely long process, and I finally just got to the point where a reconstruction company was ready to order replacement materials and reconstruct the bathrooms. They asked for the asbestos results of this space and I come to find out that ServPlus never did ANY testing. Not only that, but when I finally did test for asbestos, I come find out that there was 30% asbestos in the tiles. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed on many accounts. First - I've been doing laundry in that room for months - where it's moist and dry and I've been breathing in this potentially toxic material since it is completely exposed. Second, now this has further delayed the reconstruction company because now I have to get yet another company in to remediate the asbestos. Third and pretty concerning - when I called ServPlus to ask about the testing I received no apology - they just calmly stated that the guys never bothered to test for asbestos."

"My wife and I moved into our home last Nov. We completed many renovations that included lots of dust and the vents and returns likely were never serviced, at least not for a LONG time. So, I decided that I wanted my vents to be cleaned. After an attempted bait and switch from a FaceBook solicitation, whom was going to WAY overcharge me, and I declined their service, I casually asked my HVAC guy for a recommendation. He said use Powervac, LLC. I had never heard of them, but trust my HVAC guy, so I called. My initial interaction with Mary was great. She was VERY kind, caring, and informative. They were booked out a couple of weeks (for obvious reasons). She had me scheduled out to 6/18 on the calendar and would call me if any cancellations. She ended up calling me 2x to move the date up and here it is 6/12 and the work is complete! It's really a cool process and the two technicians, Jason and Matt, worked hard, communicated very well, had a great sense of humor, and their teamwork was outstanding! Many companies have lost the art of Customer Service. PowerVac, LLC has not and in fact operates like a well oiled machine. Saved me $300 over the FaceBook ad. Highly recommend them!!!"

Howard also pioneered the export of scrap batteries to Pacific Rim countries for reclamation. The components of a battery are one hundred percent recyclable, over seventy percent of the feed stock for the manufacture of new batteries comes from recycled battery lead. A collection system was established for scrap batteries in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. This effort has helped keep the environment cleaner. In December of 1986 the department of transportation shut down the export of scrap batteries from the United States. This was due to improper packing, labeling and marking. At this point no one knew how to package the batteries according to D.O.T. regulations. UNITED BATTERY SYSTEMS INC. employees worked with U.S. Coast Guard officials and devised a packaging procedure that met all regulations and was acceptable to the Captain of the port; these procedures are presently being used where ever batteries are being exported by water shipment. Over the years a consistent number of sales in the category of rebuilt starters and alternators prompted Howard to add a custom rebuild operation to the main branch to service the built-in sales of the satellite branches and open up to the heavy industrial rebuild markets.
