traps were set and checked daily, and deactivated for each weekend. they checked/or stopped by to advise 2-3 times over more than 2 weeks. ultimately 2 squirrels were evicted. they tried to remove the nest with 2-3 crew making the attempt with a 40ft ladder, but it was stuck midway down the chimney; they pushed it down far enough, however, that I was able to remove it from my fireplace inside. I also had them install a chimney cap. They really put the work into this job, and were on-time and professional. I appreciate the time and effort.

There were three phases of work: 1. Trap the rabbits and insure there where no rabbits in the crawl space. This took 2 - 3 weeks. Only one rabbit was caught – there are still rabbits in the area - but the crawl space was deemed free of rabbits. So we could move on to stage 2. 2. Clean up: remove all the vapor barrier from the crawl space and replace it with new vapor barrier. Then ‘fog’ the space with an anti-bacterial agent. The vapor barrier replacement was the bulk of the cost and seems to be a decent job. The first application of the fogger was not done adequately (according to me) but CC was happy to come back and do a more comprehensive fog. 3. A one year guarantee plan that included securing the entire house against incursion and periodic checks. There was some confusion about whether the guarantee included rats and mice (which had not been an issue with us but something I thought we paid for) but CC was good about working through the issue with us to everyones’ satisfaction. Overall the team was professional and good to work with. There where separate teams (trappers, cleanup, back office) and it was not clear that everyone was always on the same page. Our ‘manager’ was the original sales guy and we never really saw him throughout the process. My impression was he was focused on sales and not on follow through. BUT overall the team was good and the co-owner (Tim), who finished up with us (e.g. refogging), was great. I'm happy to recommend Portland Critter Control. Thanks Tim and team.

I worked with Jessica, Jacob, Paul and others from Critter Control over the course of a project to eradicate rats from our crawl space, clean up the damage they'd caused and seal up entry points around the house to prevent future infestations. Everyone I dealt with, both over the phone and in person, was pleasant and professional and eager to resolve the situation. All scheduled activities occurred on time as promised, and a couple of unavoidable weather-related postponements were handled adeptly and quickly rescheduled. Critter Control has a great customer-focused system that allows them to document their work on each visit with photographs as necessary, and email a report to the customer right from the driveway before they leave the work site. It makes for excellent accountability and makes the progress nicely visible to the customer. I appreciate all the hard work and the attention to detail.

I had a skunk living under my shed, that was constantly spraying. After it sprayed my dog, I decided to contact Critter Control to have it professionally removed. Critter Control was the only flat-rate animal removal option; other estimates had a per animal removal fee. I was unsure of how many skunks may be living under my shed, and had also recently seen a opossum and raccoon. This worked out to be the best option because they caught TWO skunks and TWO opossums! Critter Control was fantastic throughout every step of the process! Mike provided a free consultation that included animal removal information and necessary repairs to the shed. The communication of monitoring and animal capture was excellent - I really appreciated the daily email report updates, with before and afters pictures included of the progress.

Warning, Warning, Warning. What a disaster. Mike acted so nice and I ended up having to hire an attorney. They hired latinos, no English and the poor guys didn't know what they were doing. They broke lights, my ceiling, didn't finish the job, etc. Don't let them put it insulation, it's a rip off, they didn't even do the west side of the house and didn't put in as much as they should. I had to hire a home inspector to go through of all of it. Tim didn't care to pay my attorney fees, so I need to tell you all, go else where. Went very well. Bill and another guy came out next morning after getting our call. Very professional, very friendly - spent adequate time - found the problem (a dead rat in the insulation by the furnace under the crawl space) and resolved it. We've had too many bad experiences with businesses over the last few years (contractors) - it was wonderful to have a great experience!

At first they did everything they said they would do, even though the price was high. Four months later the job is still not completed. They continue to send bills for work they haven’t done, and won’t return my phone calls when I call them about it. At this point I’ve left over 6 messages, none of which have been returned.

Great! Returned our call promptly and a technician (Jesse W.) came out within hours. He removed the carcass, took care of the odor, and gave us some practical preventive tips.

So far they have trapped one mole. Some of the traps were tripped and pieces were left in our lawn which caused a bit of a problem. Homeowner needs to keep an eye out for the metal pieces.

They came after 10 days, which is reasonable. Walked around the house and took some pictures of the crawl space from the entry point. Nobody went in and made a thorough inspection. The conclusion was that a raccoon had gone in and out, made few drops and couple of scratches to the ductwork. Their recommendation was reasonable: clean drops, fog and change the screen. However, they totally insisted in changing the vapor barrier, which was new (4 months old) and had no real scratch. I found that totally excessive, and out of my budget... I told them so, but they insisted on their recommendation. I contacted two other companies that came over, inspected the whole crawl space and neither recommended changing the vapor barrier, so I went with one of them.

Great customer service, timely removal of traps when animals caught. Good communication and follow up with us during the job.

Did get them out, but never followed up to patch the hole. Was willing to pay extra, but they never responded after several phone calls with them.

I thought they did rather well and let me know that if it did not take care of the problem they would come back.

I tried to resolve this issue with his office manager, but it didn't go anywhere successfully. He defended his technician after he heard that there was not budget to fix a possible but not probable mice problem! This company is very unprofessional with poor customer service skills and HORRIBLE prices. They expect to find stupid people to rip them off for their services. I would never deal with them again. Had they only been honest and open up front with me and had told me on the phone at the time of scheduling that they would charge $1,600 to remove a squirrel and to close the entry points, I would have never scheduled an appointment with them. Instead, they hoped to rip me off and ended up wasting my time and energy. Very unprofessional and dishonest.

The technician came out and set some traps, then monitored the traps weekly for a while. I received an email Work Order each time the traps were checked, with an update of any activity. After a few weeks, the traps were pulled due to no activity, however Critter Control offered that should I see mole activity again within a one year period, they would come back out and set traps for another month. 11 months later, I had evidence of moles again and emailed Critter Control. True to their word, they came right out again at no extra charge and set more mole traps.

We have a rental house near Forest Park and there are a lot of rodents in the area, so we've had mouse issues on and off for a number of years. Adam at Critter Control is truly amazing. He's well knowledged, careful, and thorough. He's also very professional and easy to work with. He found where mice were entering (they can enter through holes as wide as a pencil eraser!) and patched those gaps. He's just very thoughtful and very thorough. Worth his weight in gold. I'd highly recommend Critter Control!

The results have been very good. I have not had any further problems. Thomas did a great job of evaluating the situation and establishing and carrying out a plan of action. He is a thoughtful, knowledgable, conscientious person who is pleasure to work with.

I would definitely use them again and recommend their service to others. Very professional and knowledgeable about dealing with wildlife. From the person who assessed the situation and made recommendations so the situation wouldn't happen again. To the person who did the work and dealing with the office personnel , everything was in writing and there was never a question about what was to be done, when and what the cost would be. Great company.

They charged me $200 to look at the damage that was done and set traps. They overestimated in my opinion and they didn't set traps where I told them to.

The staff were fine and we would use them in the future.

They were good. I had them do one and after it really smelled. They were very good. They covered all of my vents. They just looked over the whole crawlspace. They did find a little mouse. The very just very comprehensive and very kind. They were nice people. Good quality. They put a cylindrical anti smell thing that hung on the inside of my closet where my stairs are down into my crawlspace and that I thought that was pretty cool because I was afraid my clothes were going to get all smelly and this kept any kind of smell away from clothes and I liked that.

We're happy with them so far. Their pricing is probably competitive. I've used them a couple of times.

They got rid of them. It was not cheap, but they got rid of them. We were pleased with them. There was no trouble.
