Our team, Zoe and Matt were great, they listened to all my ramblings and half baked suspicions about what things were wrong with the house and set to work. On top of a thorough maintenance pass -cleaning dryer vents and refrigerator compressors, they also addressed a random list of things like a loose sink, and faulty bath faucet, a couple of dead outlets and misbehaving light switches but also troublshot our mysterious radiant floor system, got it all working and explained how it was set up. "Kevin did an amazing job, responded right away & accommodated my schedule.He built a wall, creating an office space.He made sure I am aware of all the steps & took pics of the frame and insulation before drywall was installed. He moved the thermostat and installed 2 outlets on the new wall. He painted the new room, living room, hallways and 1 bedroom. The paint underneath was dark blue, so he made sure to apply enough coats to cover it perfectly. He removed an iron chimney and covered the ceiling, also bringing the floor under the chimney to the same level as the rest of the living room and covered with hardwood. He installed a fan on my vaulted ceiling in an angle and a new light in the office space and left the house clean of all debris. "JK Construction was a contractor pro recommended by Home Depot for a bathroom remodel. Joel gave us a quote for two bathroom remodels. He completed demolition and then went on a week vacation to Las Vegas with out giving us prior notice. Joel diddn't show up till almost 11am daily and would stay into the late evening hours which disturbed our family life. Additionally he missed several days stating "family issues" with his wife's teenage child. As the project progressed he denied bidding on multiple items and billed us in addition to the quoted bid. He demanded payment on a daily basis and the week project lasted over a month. Joel did not have proper tools for the work he bid, thus he bought them, added the cost to the daily bill and then we got stuck with unwanted tools. He was flexible when we encountered additional jobs billing for them by the hour. It was obvious that he had no previous experience with the bathroom remodel and was painfully slow because of it. We spoke with HomeDepot management and were told he was going to be removed from their recommended contractor list which we've since found out did not happen. The better business bureau and WA Labor & Industries were notified and a complaints filed."
