Established in 2018. After being in the industry for years and with multiple companies, the owners decided to break loose from big corporations and build their own small business. After college, they took all the good and the bad they learned along the way to create Alta. The owners are brothers who were taught honesty, hard work, and serving others by their parents. They are excited to bring these traits to a business level and provide superior service to the residents of Spokane Valley.

"This company is horrible. They talked my dad into a contract promised him the world, then didn't do what they said. He tried to call them about it but couldn't get through. He went to the bank and had them cancel the payment. Visa investigated and determined that Alta was in the wrong so Alta threatened him with collections of the full contract, so he paid. Please avoid them. They also delete bad reviews in Google. The sales person put his wrong name, wrong address and created a fake email for the contract to go to. My dad only owns a mobile phone. The office when we called to complain didn't care."

We live in the beautiful Spokane Valley and enjoy all of the outdoor adventures found here. There’s so much to do like a day on the links at Painted Hills Golf Course. And don’t forget the great wineries. But we don’t like when the outdoor pests such as ants, wasps, rodents, or bed bugs decide to stroll into our house and make themselves at home. At Pointe Pest Control, with our fast, professional service, we can help you eliminate those unwanted visitors once and for all.

"I have been with Pointe for several years here in Spokane. Melissa did a great job of catching me up on interior treatments as well as the normal exterior treatments. We walked together discussing my comments and questions, so I greatly appreciated how easy she is to talk to and work with. She was patient and professional while I moved a handful of larger objects aside in the basement so she could reach the areas behind. I very much enjoyed meeting Melissa and want to thank her and Pointe Pest Control."

While your gliding down the Columbia River in your kayak or riding the waves on your wind surfer, what do you like to think about? Could it be that cold brew from White Bluff Brewing, or maybe a tasty treat from the Spudnut shop? That certainly hits the spot when you get off the river. What you don’t want to think about is your home being infested by bugs, pests, and other insects. Pointe Pest Control can help you get back to what you like to do without worrying about invaders swarming your family home.

"We sold the house in great condition, due in part for the 15 years AEPS serviced it. We had a service contract; never had to worry as they always came on schedule, left a report, returned if we saw even one ant months later. The children were safe as well as wild bunnies, too. Can't recommend them too highly."

Living Water is a family owned, locally owned business. We employ an average of 25 employees. Year in and year out, Living Water continues to make a difference in our local communities through donations, support and sponsorship of many quality non-profits, schools and programs in our area that assist men and women, the homeless, abandoned, abused, lost, and hopeless. Additional email: contacts@livingwaterspray.com.

"I hired this company for the season fertilizing of my lawn. On the 2nd application there was a really funky smell all over my lawn and with further inspection I noticed the tech left a giant brown streak 3 feet wide and about 80 yards long all the way across my new asphalt and I also have stains on my brand new hottub. I called the company and they had John the sales person call me. John came out to look and found it very odd and could smell the stench as well. He said he was goin to chat with the owner and get back to me. After a couple weeks of waiting, I finally called back in to see where we were at with it all. John said he spoke with the owner and they dont believe it was their techs that did that and dont plan on doing anything about it... This is the lack of integrity and professionalism you get from this company. Any damage they cause they will just make excuses and deny deny deny. They are the only company that has sprayed my lawn. Completely pathetic that I have to resort to complaints and reviews."

Pest control services FAQs

Different pest control methods exist to help mitigate an infestation. Not every technique will work with every pest, which is why speaking with a pest control expert is crucial to taming your problem. Different methods of pest removal include:

  • Heat treatments

  • Freezing treatments

  • Traps

  • Barriers

  • Diatomaceous earth

  • Chemical pesticides

  • Fumigation

  • Rodenticides

  • Mechanical devices

  • Repellants

The cost of pest control is $175 for the average homeowner. However, you could spend as little as $100 or as much as $500 or more, depending on the infestation size, the number of visits you need, and the pest you’re exterminating.

For example, if you need to rid your home of spiders, you’ll likely be spending between $100 and $300. However, if you have a termite problem, you can expect a bill of $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the infestation size and damage caused.

There are specific methods for pest removal that you can DIY without hiring an expert. If you are preventing pests from making an appearance or clearing out a small infestation of harmless insects, you will likely have success on your own. However, if you’re dealing with pests that eat wood, bedbugs, or other pests that carry a disease risk, like rodents, it’s always worth it to call a pest professional to help you.

Even if you’re not immediately showing signs of pests, it’s a good idea to get into the habit of routine pest control. This should be done yearly, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly, depending on your location and if any signs of infestation are already present. For example, if you live by water, you might experience more pests in the spring and summer than someone who lives in a dry climate. Discuss treatment options with your pest professional to determine a suitable schedule for you and your home.

While not every infestation is preventable, there are some actions you can take to minimize the risk of running into these pests in your home. These actions include:

  • Keeping your home tidy. This includes vacuuming regularly, sanitizing your kitchen, storing food in airtight containers, disposing garbage regularly, and keeping your home clutter-free.

  • Deep clean at least twice a year. Deep cleaning neglected crevices and corners of your home can help prevent breeding grounds from forming.

  • Repairing your home when needed. If your home has cracks or holes, you have an open invitation for pests to come in. Remove any standing water and seal any gaps in your floors, walls, and foundation.

  • Cleaning up your yard. Keep shrubbery and branches well-trimmed and away from your home. Remove fallen leaves and other debris.

  • Be smart with storage. If you use firewood, store it away from the home (at least 20 feet away if possible) and off of the ground.
