"The entire team was excellent. They were prompt, hard-working, and clearly took pride in their work. They were responsive to my questions and concerns. I was given clear heads-up about any additional work needed during the project and any additional costs. They were respectful of my plants and surrounding structures. They kept the work area tidy at the end of each day. Victor responded promptly when the original coat on the back porch exterior painting in some areas had pealed. We considered alternatives and paid to have an industrial surface coated on the horizontal decking. We are currently very pleased with this new coating. The re-screening was also very well-done; very pleased with the results. The painting and carpentry work on the front porch looks terrific! The pricing was in the hi-moderate range but well worth it. I will definitely work with Manor Works in the future for interior work this winter and any future exterior work."

"Please find a different contractor! We hired Brett’s company to replace flooring in our basement that was water damaged. The original quote included installing flooring and drywall repair. We had to stop the install and start over two times due to issues. The first issue was the way the flooring was being laid. Standard wood/laminate flooring should be laid out in a scattered/various pattern using planks cut in multiple lengths, however the install guy was cutting the wood in only 2 sizes and laying it down in a repetitive pattern. It looked horrible. We asked Brett to come out to the job and see for himself because we were concerned with the quality of the work, but he never came out. When the install guy started over, we realized he had not put down underlayment which was clearly included in the contract. They were placing luxury vinyl plank directly on the concrete slab with only a moisture barrier. Again, we had to have them stop the job and start over to do it properly. Brett still did not come out to the job site. We did not end up getting the drywall repair completed and asked him to remove that cost from our invoice, but he said we would still need to pay the full price because if he reworked the contract it would go up to account for starting the job over. Even though both times the job had to start over were as a result of his guys negligence. I’ve attached a picture that shows the first problem with the install. We’ve had flooring replaced and installed several times in previous homes and have never experienced someone attempting to install it in the way his guy was. There was no quality control on Bretts part. The install was done incorrectly multiple times and it could have been avoided if Brett had taken the time to make sure the job was being done properly. To make matters worse, we were penalized for his crews mistake and it left us feeling stressed out and ripped off. Please save yourselves the stress and find someone else to do your floors."

"Mr. Jeffrey Hill responded to my text and provided a competitive estimate, one of 3 I received from similar service providers. Positive remarks were that he was on time for the 4 day project (12/21/2020-12/24/2020) to paint 5 rooms in my home and generally appeared to be professional in demeanor and was also quite communicative. I hesitated to write this review, but in the end I wish someone had put me wise to this individual. Mr. Hill broke 2 picture frames and left paint in my sink, and many areas on the hardwood floor which he smeared in a half-hearted attempt to wipe up the paint he splattered on the floor. This seems to be his response when I discovered flaws in the first 2 days which I gently brought to his attention. He reacted in a combative way, and send a text which was quite rude. When we subsequently talked about his reaction, Mr. Hill told me he is accustomed to working in a space where the homeowner is not present. This suggests he is not often provided with or accustomed to less than positive or frequent feedback. Overall, the results from this project were not of acceptable quality. On the last day of work, he slyly asked if I used my living room very often. Later on 12/25/2020 I found out why. He simply did not paint many of the spots behind large pieces of furniture, cabinets, sofas, including baseboards left largely untouched. I had a friend walk through the rooms with me where we ultimately found numerous bare spots, scarred baseboards and trims which were not or only barely painted (swipe with brush marks very apparent). In one instance, he painted only 1 of 2 sliding closet doors; so that it would appear done -- he kept the painted one over the unpainted one. I was very surprised by this deceptiveness. I shared the pictures of the many spots we found with Hill who returned on 12/26 but he was very combative and accusatory -- stating at one point that I had marked the walls myself to make him look bad. I have now concluded that the numerous 'missed' spots and hidden areas he covered with large furniture is part of a system of 'short cuts' used on large projects. It is evident that his reactiveness when his deceptions were uncovered extended to other areas and indicate something about his personality. He was reactive and malicious after being asked not to use the bathroom sink to wash his paint brushes, he went to the downstairs utility sink and splattered paint from the brush all across the laundry equipment. His attitude in the follow-up visit really was mildly concealed rage at being discovered and having to face photo evidence of the numerous bare spots which were found the day after he 'finished'. His continued defensive comments and lack of accountability left me with no choice, and I am forced to write this review and complete the touch-ups myself. Others may have had positive results with him, but the overall poor quality and display of temper he showed me makes it difficult to recommend him."

"Our house is finished with a Drvit Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). We needed a company to repair cracks and bulging in the exterior walls. We got several estimates - E.M.Texture was very competitive. What impressed us most was how patient and transparent Rob was. He explained what needed to be done and provided several alternatives depending on the scope of the work. He was very responsive and answered all of our questions. The crew was very prompt, professional and courteous. They cleaned the work area every evening. The finished product looks terrific. I can't over emphasize how terrific E.M. Texture was to work with. We highly recommend them."
