The work involved a significent challenge in lifting and decking under an existing outdoor kitchen. York River Outdoors did an excellant job. Their craftsmanship was better than most other contractors and their work ethic was outstanding. They maintained excellant communication and completed the job in a fast and efficient manner. "Disclosure loved the awning when it worked. Purchased and had an A& Awning installed 1.5 years ago. Attempted to use it the beginning of the summer. Awning would only move approximate 1 every time the button is pressed. So I manually extended the awning. Tried other times throughout the summer after swapping the battery in the remote with no luck. Called A & Awning and explained the issue and I was told it sounds like the motor needs to be either reprogrammed or replaced. Was also told during the conversation that there is 5 year warranty on the motor that is covered but I would be required to pay $175.00 service fee, which I do not agree with. We spent thousands of dollars on an item that we used for only one summer and a handful of times and now need to spend more money on to fix a warrantied part. I honestly wish I would have just spent a little more money and had a permanent overhead future installed."
