With energy costs on the rise and no end in sight, many home and business owners are feeling the pinch. Here at Central Valley Mechanical we have the solution. Our Geothermal and Hybrid systems can cut energy costs on the average home by up to 60% and for Propane users by up to 70%. Plus with the many Federal and State tax incentives for renewable energy Geothermal has never been more affordable! Want to Pair it with Solar or just add a Photo Voltaic system we do that also! Please see our project photos in the gallery, many of our projects are designed, engineered, and constructed all in house. With Federal Tax Credits of 30% of system costs and State Tax Credits of up to $2,000 why not take advantage? There may even be Utility incentives and rebates available to some customers. With nearly 30 years in business, we are dedicated to providing the best possible solutions for your home or business.

"While looking for parts to convert my boiler back to Natural Gas I was referred to CVM by Carrier (the maker of my boiler) as they were a distributor of Carrier parts and could sell me OEM parts. After calling CVM they talked me into letting them service my boiler instead of just buying the parts and doing it myself (a decision I later regretted) I was told a tech would call to make an appointment. 3 weeks after the initial call I googled CVM finding a different number and called again, emailed some info about my boiler and again was told a tech would call to make an appointment. This time a tech named Jeremiah called and indicated he needed a week to get the proper parts for my boiler. 3 weeks later after hearing nothing I called Jeremiah back and was told Carrier didn't have the right part numbers and they were to blame for the delay, another 3 weeks without any updates I called and was told he had the part and needed to set an appointment. The appointment came and he didnt show, towards the end of the day I called to confirm and Jeremiah told me he was sick and needed to reschedule. Not having any other options I rescheduled a week later again taking time from work and Jeremiah was again late for the appointment but did show and changed the orifices on the burners only. Charging me $400 for half the job and claiming he couldnt continue until the Natural Gas was connected. A week later the Natural Gas was connected and I called both Customer service and Jeremiah requesting requesting an appointment to finish the job, this never happened. After the weather turned cold I called a C&C Mechanical to come finish the job, upon their arrival they informed me the pilot Orifice had not been changed nor had the correct pilot assembly been installed. This technician had counted on this and didnt need to blame Carrier for anything as he had grabbed the correct part on his way over. All in all CVM's customer service is overall a horrible mess and this company is content to let their customers freeze! I dont recommend CVM in the slightest!"

Here at Air Technology Solutions we offer many services from changes outs, installations, repairs/service. We want to ensure that our customers are not only happy when the job is completed but happy with us as well! $125 service fee included if job is completed

"I don't like leaving negative reviews and I only do so when I feel I've gotten taken advantage of. Unfortunately, this is one of those times. I do want to preface my review by stating that I have no problem with the technician other than he didn't do what he was paid to do. This company came to my location through my home warranty service to perform a "Spring Tune-Up" on both of my AC units. This is an involved process that includes checking the thermostat, checking temperature splits, checking capacitors, checking contactors, checkin amp draw on compressor, checking amp draw on blower motor, checking accessible condensate lines, checking condenser fan blades, cleaning and tightening electrical connections, checking refrigerant levels, replacing filters (owner supplied) and rinsing condenser coils (water rinse only). I have this service done every year but this is the first year (and last) that Air Technology Solutions has done it. Normally, it takes a tech anywhere between 45-60 minutes, if no issues are present, to do the entire tune-up. This one only took about 15 minutes (and I have the Ring footage showing the times when the tech arrived and left) because the tech only cleaned the condenser coils before departing the residence. To make things worse, when my home warranty service called them to inquire about not doing a complete tune-up, they straight-up lied and said that they had done everything as per the service contract. Because both of my units are working fine (and they'd been working fine prior to the service visit), I have no recourse to receive a refund on the $85 I paid for the "tune-up." So, essentially, I paid $85 to have a tech show up at my house and do something that I normally do myself every year. Never again...."

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Heating and air conditioning services FAQs

Yes, most states require HVAC technicians to be certified, and for good reason. Hiring an uncertified HVAC pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. A certified HVAC technician tackling your home projects protects you as a homeowner.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Certified” badge. Angi Certified businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Knowing how long your existing HVAC units can last is essential to determine if you need a repair or replacement. Typically, most modern air conditioning units can last between 15 to 20 years, and most furnaces can work properly for 15 to 30 years. If your HVAC system is on the older side and you decide to replace one unit, it might make sense to replace both simultaneously to save on costs and future hassle.

While different HVAC contractors might offer higher or lower prices than competitors, the best time to replace your HVAC system is when customer demand is low. The beginning of summer and the beginning of winter bring the most demand for HVAC systems, so if you can, consider replacing your HVAC units in the early spring or fall. Many HVAC companies offer special off-season coupons that help lower the overall cost.

The average cost to hire an HVAC contractor is between $50 and $150 per hour if charging hourly. However, some HVAC contractors will charge a flat fee by the type of service they are performing—for example, an inspection can cost between $150 to $500. Keep in mind that emergency repairs—which are made after business hours or around major holidays—generally cost more than scheduled repairs.

The average cost of HVAC repairs is around $350. However, that price can be as low as $100 or as high as $2,000 or more, depending on the repair. For example, replacing a capacitor is a relatively inexpensive repair, ranging from $100 to $500. However, a compressor repair is a more expensive repair, ranging from $750 to $2,000.
