Barlow Service Experts

I had them come out twice, and I ended up not using them again because they weren't offering the Big Deal. They came to my rental property. Their billing was a little bit off. It took a couple of phone calls to get everything set up. I don't thing they were used to using Angie's List for whatever reason. I had to call in and get confirmation a couple of times for when the technicians came out, also to get the second visit scheduled. I would probably use them again, and look for one of those buy one, get one deals.

The job went very well. I was very pleased the unit could be repaired rather than replaced.

The new ones we got have been wonderful and the people that come to check out were always really really good. So, we bought the appliance from them. They come in and they always wear shoe covers. They always come equipped with the types of filters so they won't have to leave and come back. They're very professional people. They know what they're doing. They called us and scheduled just about a week. They're really good.

Very responsive to concerns on where drywall would be cut, saved pieces for drywall contractor later. Have had no issues with the quality of work. Overall happy with the job done by Nate and his team.

They've always done a wonderful job. They go the extra mile - very thorough. In a previous home that we had, they informed us there was water getting into the furnace. They installed some duct work in the furnace and we never had a problem again. Very accommodating, very nice to work with, and very professional.

I got multiple bids for this job because we had problems with our old system that were not resolved to our satisfaction. - Service Experts and the other companies all gave free estimates. - The technician from Service Experts who gave us a bid was the most knowlegable of the four different salespersons who gave bids. Two other things impressed me: (1) I was informed that two service technicians would come to install the new system if I decided to have the job done, and (2) The unit that was recommended had a decibel rating of just 62. I did some online research and found that most 2 ton units have a decibel rating of at least 70 and most are about 72 to 74 decibels. I did further research and found that the difference between 62 and 72 decibels is very significant. - The unit would go next to a patio area and quiet operation was important to me. - When the day of installation arrived, two clean cut technicians arrived and finished the work in just 5 hours, which included the removal of the old system and all of its parts as well as cleaning up the work area. A very cool touch screen thermometer control unit was installed which is very easy to use. The unit has worked perfectly and it is VERY QUIET. - In fact, I am still amazed at how quiet that unit is. The Service Experts technician/salesperson says it is the quietest unit in the industry - and I believe him!

They were very professional and no complaints at all. We purchased two large high end furnaces. They were price very well. They are the company we used to service our furnaces as well.

Called five heating and A/C services for estimates.Service Experts was one of three that actually showed up for their scheduled appointment.The estimate was hand delivered three days later and explained in detail.The other two emailed their estimate.The estimate was very competitive. Gave us three different options.Selected Service Experts and scheduled the work.They arrived on the scheduled day.The job went very smoothly.Servicemen were very nice and professional.Did the job quickly.The results were exactly as promised and were better than expected.Will definitely use them again.

When I purchased my home, the prior owners had used them for years. So, their name and number was in the furnace room and on all the appliances down there. They talked to me and they highly recommended me to continue with them, which I did. They also do plumbing, but they are more expensive. So, I chose another company for plumbing. They are a HVAC company and they are all over the country. Brad runs the company over here in Provo. The first week I was here, I found out that the furnace to the main part of the house was ready to be cut off. It was an old furnace and it was going to explode. They immediately tested for carbon monoxide. They came in and saved the day. They said that they just tested and there was no carbon monoxide coming out. They also said that they had to test the pressure and they were 100% sure that it was going to fail. So, I thought of buying a new furnace. Then they checked it and it was ready to explode. So, they turned the gas off to it and put in the new furnace. They have various prices and they are affordable for every range. It was about $4000 for the new furnace. I bought a very good quality furnace. They gave me a good deal on a very good quality furnace. So, I went ahead and spent more than what other people might. I wanted a good quality one since I live here. I would use their services in the future too. If you have little extra things to do, they come out and do it for very affordable prices.

They are very excellent. The only thing I wasn't happy about was that they were going to charge $50 to come out and do an estimate. I talked to them and they didn't end up charging that. I assume their prices are competitive with others. They were very responsive. I had been waiting 1 1/2 weeks for other companies and this guy came a day after I called. I would use them again.

They were good, but I think they were overpriced. I did not have the problem again, but they charged me twice more than any other company would have. They came right away after I called them, and they were real professionals. They did not leave any dirt in the house. They told me what they were doing and took my opinion. I was very comfortable having them in my house. They were clean, well kept, and very professional. I appreciated that, but I was unhappy only with the price they charged me. I called them again for something else and the price they gave me was very high.

Basically, a huge undertaking was started and completed in one 8-9 hour day. No muss, no fuss. Very clean, professional, polite, pleasure to deal with. And the finished product was very nice and a big improvement comfort-wise from our previous equipment. Service Experts has been a great company to work with since we originally acquired furnaces/air conditioners through them in 1992. We have had a service agreement with them and every 6 months they come to service the equipment. Always timely, clean cut, courteous, nice, professional, polite people. This means a lot of us.

Overall, the experience was very positive. After shopping around because I felt that the quote from Neerings was too high, I chose Service Experts because of their price, availability of parts, and phone service. Their service expert on arrival was prompt, wore the shoe covers, took time to re-diagnose the problem and came to the same conclusion as Neerings. He answered many of my questions with patience. Even questions about carbon monoxide and radon gas problems. He finished his work and was very thorough. He left the area cleaner than when he arrived. Final paper work and payment went fast and was painless. If the need arises, I will call Services Experts again and ask for the same service expert.

They are located 60 miles away so we were worried about travel charges. They told us that they were local so their would not be any travel fees until they get to our door. When they showed up the story changed, we already owed them $100.00 for their travel. The worker admitted to me that this happens all the time. They tell you one thing over the phone to get the job because they know that when you find out the real charges it will be to late to go elsewhere. They were very poor workers. They were slow and basically my family did all of the actual moving. When the move was over they told me that they always get tips it is very expected. When I declined to give a tip they all but demanded one. They even left an address so I could send a tip by check. The workers that showed up were grown men in their 50's not college kids looking for work. I think the company name is very misleading.

The installer arrived on time and examined the work area. He covered the areas that he'd be walking over. The old furnace and duct work was removed and the new furnace was put in place and the duct work guy arrived with a van to perform the sheet metal work on site. A supervisor showed up to check the work and make sure it is what I wanted. They also installed a new thermostat and ran new wires for it. A high efficiency air filter was also installed. Things went well and they cleaned up really well. Cleanliness seems to be big with this company.

I did feel that the price was a little high, but overall they did a pretty good job. I thought we got the best company we could find to do the job and this is the second time we have actually used this company. Another thing that stands out about them is that they will stand behind what they say they will do for you. For example, we were supposed to get a rebate for some of the work. Well, they forgot about it, but when we reminded them they turned around and paid us 600 dollars for the rebate we were supposed to get. I was very pleased with that because it showed their integrity.

I hired them to clean the ashes out of my furnace. They also replaced some small minor parts. They are very knowledgeable and do very thorough cleanings. I plan on using them for future jobs. I would refer them to a friend.

They were very unprofessional. The job was not completed the first time, and they had to come back. It took forever for them to come back, and their secretary was extremely rude. They made it seem like the whole problem was our fault. I was very dissatisfied.

I feel they did a wonderful job. They did everything they said they would. They even came back six months later to make sure that everything was up and running as it should.

I think they do a good job. They are always on time, and they are aware of the cleanliness of my house. They also check my carbon monoxide alarm.

They have come when they said they would. They put down covers over the carpets to help protect them. They do a call ahead before they come and make appointments in advance. They also call to remind you. A very professional company to work with.

I was quite pleased. They were kind. Overall, I felt they were pretty honest with me.They put slippers on their feet so they didn't track any dirt in my house. I was very pleased. It was a great experience.

The company got the job done but they had so many problems. A couple of times they knocked some pipes loose. There was water all over the place. They paid for the damages, but it was still a pretty big inconvenience.

Overall I am pleased with Service Experts INC. I do wish that they could call me to make future appointments, instead of me having to call them. In the long run, I did like there service.

Thompson & Sons is great! The motor installed in our furnace had a mechanical malfunction. They returned to replace it promptly for no extra charge. We were also pleased with their ability to work around our kids.
