From seasonal color and herbs to perennials, shrubs, and "estate-sized" trees, we are the destination for discriminating gardeners. We consider fountains, statuary, and planters as permanent parts of the home and office landscape, and have a large selection. "Well we started a year ago just about talking about the project. Matt was very helpful by first listening to our opinions and and making good suggestions at several points during the process. He thought about what we ask and tried very hard to make available samples of materials and adapted to our asks as the process progressed. We had a number of bad weather interruptions (think NOAH) but Matt and crew got back to work when things improved. We are delighted with the arena, and it stood up to the test of heavy rain by draining well so Martin sand and Gravel did the job right. No job is without its challenges, but even months after the job was completed Matt kept his promises and fixed several minor details that I had deferred but he kept reminding me he needed to make right. That means a lot to me. Pictures are from November- through great Freeze! Now all greened up and dry. Thanks MR. Martin."

"NO STARS! Do not ever use Matt Phillips of Stone Ridge Pool and Landscape Co., LLC. We entered into an agreement in Sept 2023 to have our pool resurfaced, and he took an $11,400 down payment. Then he never got started on the work, despite 8 weeks giving me delay after delay, and weather was only a factor once. Then he started ghosting my texts and phone calls. And of course, I haven't received my down payment back, despite requesting a full refund. All this guy will do for you is to take your large down payment, and then he'll never be seen again. He basically stole $11,400 from me. Stay far far away from this corrupt person."

"Started off good but as time progressed got worse. Lawn guys ran over out tree concrete trim and destroyed it. Ran over our telephone pedestal and left it. Would rinse themselves off after mowing and left the water faucet on. After we had wrapped it for winter they unwrapped and left the wrapping off. Contract stated brush piles would be picked up and weren't. Had contacted several times and six months later after their piles picked up they finally picked up their piles of stuff they left. Would not recommend them. Tree jobs were a different story. They did an excellent job on cutting down trees and cleaning up their mess. Excellent tree people but don't hire for yard work!!!"

Topsoil costs from $12 to $55 per cubic yard, depending on the type you choose. For example, screened black dirt will cost about $15 per cubic yard. Topsoil should go down first. If the topsoil is next to your house, make sure the grade slopes away from the house to keep water from pooling against your foundation and possibly leaking into your basement or crawl space.
