The men showed up late and did not bother to call. When they did show up, the job seemed to start out good, however, the wall was not straight at all. They did not use a plumb line to create a straight line, therefore the concrete foundation was not straight, nor the concrete block wall. The wave would have been even more pronounced once the brick was installed over the concrete blocks. Second opinions from other contractors said the foundation was not laid properly and would have caused future problems. They also confirmed that the wall was not straight. Since this was in our front side yard, it was important to us that the wall be straight. The owner agreed that this was not his best job and said he would make it right. After a week of no communication, we tore the wall down and will hire someone else to do the work right. We paid the owner for 2 days of labor and the materials, but we can not, in good faith recommend him to anyone.
