"I had a fireplace insert that did not work. The technician that checked it out said it needed to be replaced, so I agreed to buy a new one. I asked if I could get the initial inspection fee of $259 dropped if I ordered a new one. He called the office and confirmed that they would. A second technician came out to install the new insert. He wanted me to pay the bill but the $259 was still on there. He called back to the company and told them that I was told that the $259 was dropped and I paid the balance. A couple of weeks ago I received a bill for $259. I called and explained the issue to someone and they promised that someone would call me back. I never heard anything so I assumed that everything was okay. I received a bill via email again this morning. I wrote back explaining my problem. I got a return email with no explanation and they attached the same bill again. Am I to assume that they are not honoring their promise?"

We asked Mark to take a look at the problem, but he has refused. He has now blocked my number. There isn't much I am able to do at this point having paid for the installation, but I hope his bad business practices catch up to him."

A few potential problems can cause your gas grill to stop working:
Burners aren’t properly aligned.
Food debris is clogging the burners.
Hose connections may be blocked.
Burners may not be getting enough gas.
Gas valve is not working properly.
If you’re experiencing any of those problems with your gas grill, hire a local grill repair professional to inspect your grill for issues and implement a plan to resolve them.
The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.
While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:
Rusty or cracked firebox
Weak, yellow, or uneven flames
Flaking, cracking grates
Leaking or cracked propane hoses
Failing igniter
Heavy buildup of grease
If your grill is relatively new or under warranty, it’s worth fixing. If the warranty has run out, find the cost of parts (usually a burner or grate that’s rusted out). If the parts cost more than half the price of a new grill, it’s worth buying a new one.
However, if your gas grill is a built-in unit as part of an outdoor kitchen, contact the grill manufacturer or distributor to check on warranty coverage. You should also contact a local gas grill repair technician to get an estimate for repairs or a price to replace your built-in grill.
On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. Most grill manufacturers offer an extended warranty, varying in coverage and terms. You can help extend the life of your grill by cleaning it inside and out to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits. Protect your gas grill from the elements with a grill cover to prevent it from rusting, lessening the frequency of repairs.
