46 years of experience

Gerald and Kim Brant started their carpet and rug cleaning business in 1979, a company run from their home -- a true mom and pop business -- dedicated to providing quality service to their customers. In the late 80’s, the Brant’s expanded their business to include smoke, fire, and water damage restoration. In order to better serve the needs of a growing commercial customer base, Lowcountry Clean Care, moved their base of operations to an outside office space in the early 90’s. With success, Lowcountry Clean Care evolved over time to include a contract building maintenance division, offering daily, weekly or monthly services to the commercial industry. In summer of 2011, Lowcountry Clean Care expanded once again and moved into a larger, more advanced facility at 27 Cemetary Road – where they are today -- allowing more oriental, area and specialty rugs to be processed and cleaned, resulting in a faster turnaround time for clients. Adding true “green clean” techniques, Lowcountry Clean Care is more efficient and better for the environment. And that means, it’s better for you too. Through all of the exciting changes and innovative progress, Kim and Gerald have maintained a hands-on approach with clients, giving personal attention to detail every step of the way.

LOCALLY OWNED FRANCHISE.

"Extremely unhappy with their business practices. They caused additional damage while tear out and treatment phase of water damage area in my house. They broke my fireplace hearth and told me they would fix that portion as part of their own expense. After 3 months of waiting for them to complete repairs, I decided to hire a new contractor and told them I only want them to fix what they broke. At that point, I was informed that per their policy, they are not required to fix what they broke. They then told me that they would give me a quote for them to fix what they broke. I find that quite ridiculous that I should have to pay for the damage they caused."

Next day he put a review on my company as retaliation. Take your business elsewhere , this company would rather bully people then take care of the problem. A DIRECT LIE posted by this company and its owner. I filed a complaint with the Better Business but there was no response from the company."

Drapery cleaning services FAQs

You can usually hire a drape cleaning service, a general cleaning service, or, in some cases, a professional dry cleaner to clean your drapes. These professionals will have the experience necessary to deep clean your drapes and curtains without damaging the material. A drape and curtain cleaning specialist is your best bet, as they will have the right experience, tools, and professional cleaning solutions at their disposal for the best results possible.

In some cases, it’s possible to clean your drapes yourself, but usually only if you can machine-wash the drapes. You can check the “how to wash” tag on the drapes for instructions. If the tag is missing or if the material is dry-clean only, we recommend leaving the work to a professional drape cleaner. Performing the wrong type of cleaning or using the wrong cleaning solutions on sensitive materials can destroy your drapes. A professional drapery cleaner will apply the correct solutions for safe, deep cleaning.

The average cost for drape cleaning services is around $100 per drape set, with most homeowners paying between $75 and $150. The price you can expect to pay depends on the size of the drapes or curtains, the material, and the number of sets. One cost-saving method is to hire a professional drapery cleaner to refresh multiple sets in one service. Drapes that are dry-clean-only will likely cost a bit more, as the cleaning process is more involved and might require your professional to remove them from your home, clean them off-site, and then reinstall them later.

You should dry clean your drapes twice per year: once in the spring and once in the fall. Cleaning drapes in the spring will remove dust, pet hair, pet dander, and other contaminants that build up during the winter, and cleaning them again in the fall will remove pollen and other outside contaminants that accumulate in your drapes in the spring and summer. You should consider cleaning your drapes three or four times per year if you have a lot of pets or if someone in your household has severe allergies.

Drape cleaning can be an expensive process, but it’s very often worth the investment. A professional drapery cleaner will remove odors stuck in the fabric from cooking, painting, exercising, and pets. The deep cleaning process will also remove allergens like dust, pollen, and pet dander. Ultimately, drape cleaning can help your home look and smell fresh, and maintain a healthy indoor air quality. Paying a professional for drape cleaning is worthwhile because it guarantees your cleaning solution won’t damage the material and necessitates a replacement.
