SERVPRO OF THE DUTCH FORK

Extremely unhappy with their business practices. They caused additional damage while tear out and treatment phase of water damage area in my house. They broke my fireplace hearth and told me they would fix that portion as part of their own expense. After 3 months of waiting for them to complete repairs, I decided to hire a new contractor and told them I only want them to fix what they broke. At that point, I was informed that per their policy, they are not required to fix what they broke. They then told me that they would give me a quote for them to fix what they broke. I find that quite ridiculous that I should have to pay for the damage they caused.

The crew from ServPro of the Dutch Fork were great. They were very concerned about making sure no additional damage resulted from the leak. They came every day until the drying was complete. They removed subflooring that had been damaged and were very carefully about cleaning up after everything they did. They were always polite, on time, professional, careful to make sure we were comfortable with what they were doing. Since this was an insurance claim, I cannot comment on the price. But the care they gave was excellent.

This was a fairly complex job in that it included coordinating with several contractors (including one that we chose to deal with directly), an insurance adjuster, and scheduling their own employees. Failure to handle this properly could have extended the repair time considerably. They responded on a Saturday morning when the damage was discovered, and stayed on the job until it was completed. They called, in most cases daily, to see if we were happy with the progress. There is no way to rate the cost or schedule versus promise because the damage was revealed as the job progressed. The end result was restoration to the condition of our house to it's original state (at least).

They came out in the middle of the night and were very responsive. They were excellent, professional, and great to work with.
