"Do not hire D&B Mechanical!!! They tried to scam me for $1,560. The worst customer service experience I’ve had with a service provider; D&B Mechanical, Dan Dennis, Owner. He’s not reliable and offers lots of excuses to get over. My heating system stopped working in January so I contacted Dan and he did an on site estimate. He stated the compressor was bad, needed to be replace and the system will need recharging. The initial price he quoted was $1,860, but he agreed to a senior citizen discounted which brought it to $1,560. He required full payment prior to ordering parts or doing repairs. So I paid the entire amount using my Visa. Approximately one week later, Dan informed me that the compressor was good, but the unit had a Freon leak. He ordered parts and said he expected to have the unit working within two to three days. After several follow ups, three weeks of promises and no shows, I hired another HVAC contractor and informed Dan that I was canceling our verbal agreement. The new contractor installed a new thermostat the next day and the unit has been working great ever since. While Dan did not do anything to repair my unit, he refused to refund my money. I was required to file a dispute with Visa. After their investigation, they issued a credit for the full amount Stay away from Dan Dennis and D&B Mechanical at all cost."
