D & B Mechanical

Do not hire D&B Mechanical!!! They tried to scam me for $1,560. The worst customer service experience I’ve had with a service provider; D&B Mechanical, Dan Dennis, Owner. He’s not reliable and offers lots of excuses to get over. My heating system stopped working in January so I contacted Dan and he did an on site estimate. He stated the compressor was bad, needed to be replace and the system will need recharging. The initial price he quoted was $1,860, but he agreed to a senior citizen discounted which brought it to $1,560. He required full payment prior to ordering parts or doing repairs. So I paid the entire amount using my Visa. Approximately one week later, Dan informed me that the compressor was good, but the unit had a Freon leak. He ordered parts and said he expected to have the unit working within two to three days. After several follow ups, three weeks of promises and no shows, I hired another HVAC contractor and informed Dan that I was canceling our verbal agreement. The new contractor installed a new thermostat the next day and the unit has been working great ever since. While Dan did not do anything to repair my unit, he refused to refund my money. I was required to file a dispute with Visa. After their investigation, they issued a credit for the full amount Stay away from Dan Dennis and D&B Mechanical at all cost.

HVAC air conditioner/heater..Customer paid $6500.00 from 5/2017 til took to court 9/4/2018 to get fixed. Owner Promised many, many times to come out to find the leaks. Said in court he came out and spoke to roommate when owner wasn’t home and never left paperwork saying what he did, because he never came. Records at front desk lobby shows only came 1x May 4x July from time table above!! I will be showing judge all the complaints on this list when he said he had none

Crook. Charged 1,000.00 then came out for 15 Minuts did nothing and made excuses as to why he didn't fix the unit. Over a month later came back and claimed there was nothing else wrong. Have no a/c still after he was paid 1,000.00 refuses to fix the unit and had another company come out and quote the fox at 500.00 this guy is extremely bad. Have security camera footage of his employee laying in my patio furniture doing nothing the whole time. For over 3 months now I have a a/c that runs 24-7 and a pregnant wife with a house that's 85 due to this crook. Stay away from this dirt bag.

They were always in a hurry so much so that they did not test the system when they got the A/C unit hooked up and consequently the A/C unit leaked into my brand new basement and flooded my new carpet. I had to have the water extracted and now D & B Mechanical will not take responsibility for their error and pay for the water extraction. The owner sometimes took days to return phone calls. He would tell me he was going to come over but wouldn't show up. He had an excuse for everything. Every time they came here to fix something, they broke something else. I would not recommend D & B Mechanical for anything, ever.
