"Please see attached pictures of the work that was done. This has been the worst and most painful experience in my life ever. Mr. Gilberto Mora from Personal Painting is a one man business. He recently hired two inexperienced men to assist with minor details and not the actual paint or spackle job. Basically, they run back and forth to his truck to get supplies for him which is annoying because the door slams constantly and my AC is on. It took him over a month to do the job and he showed up a few hours at a time on four different occasions. He kept rescheduling me because he had bigger paying jobs than mine. He would show up at my house when it rained. He told me he could squeeze me in-between because he is presently painting the outside of homes and can’t paint them in the rain. Here are the end results of the nightmare. He failed to put on a second coat of paint as contracted in three rooms, failed to give me a receipt for services, failed to smooth out many imperfections from wet sanding, failed to paint my exterior door frame which I supplied him with the paint prior to and he has failed to return my paint. Also, he cleaned his paint supplies in my sink. I have a septic tank so this is never a good thing because the latex in the paint can cause serious damage which he was unaware of. I told him to clean his tools outside but he did not want to comply with my wish. Told me to get an engineer to check my tank out for damage in a smart- alec way. I have already paid him in full in cash for the services and he failed to complete the job and decided to stop responding to me via text which is his form of communication, I saved all of our texts though. He is a GOOD example of over promising and not delivering. Now I have to pay someone else to complete the POOR workmanship and the incomplete work. I will be reaching out to the Better Business Bureau & Consumer Affairs next. I am expecting a refund of my money and compensation for my Benjamin Moore paint that he stoled."

They pressure washed everything, resealed all the windows and doors even areas that were not sealed before, patched not only all the woodpecker holes in the siding, but even built up some other damaged areas before painting. DS PAINTING is a small business painting contractor that has been working around the Eastern Pa area, since 2001. we do interior and exterior painting, staining, drywall repairs and some handyman services like carpentry work. I don't have many employees, so this way I can keep my over head down, out bid most of my competition and leave more money in our customers wallets . We are all professionals, on time every day, work 8 to 10 hour days, 7 days a week, and are all drug free. All of DS PAINTING services will be done by contract. fees will vary by different services. All contracts will have the details that are needed to ensure that the job is done, to yours and my satisfaction. Our customers come first. we come in, do the job and get it done right the first time. Over the years DS PAINTING has worked hard to be the best, at what we do. "The painter showed up without a ladder. He told us that he was positive that we had a bigger bathroom because that's what the quote was for. He never adjusted the quote and charged us double what we should have been charged. He messed up the paint in our bathroom twice. His helper was more interested in playing with our cats than helping and painting. There are red paint drips all over the white molding, the floor, the white cabinet in the bathroom. There are scratches in the corners of the ceiling from the roller in both the bathroom and the kitchen. He estimated the work would be finished in 1 weekend. Since he messed up the bathroom, our house was torn apart for 2+ weeks since he could only come to our house on the weekends. We are unsure of why. They rinsed their tools in our kitchen sick, with our permission, but I didn't realize there were dishes in the sink. The dishes are now stained with paint, as well as sink sprayer. I had to go around the 2 rooms and peel paint off of the window ledges. It was an overall disappointing experience, unfortunately. There was a drywall crack he "repaired" in the kitchen and the crack reappeared. After a phone call, he said he would return in a few days to fix it and I never heard from him again."

You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Calculate the square footage of the area you want to paint. Divide the square footage by 350 (the average square footage a gallon of paint covers). Multiply the number of gallons you need by two, as you’ll likely be applying two coats of paint. The cost to paint the exterior of a house ranges from $1,900 to $4,500 or about $1.50 to $4 per square foot, depending on the size, height, and complexity of the home layout. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
You should apply at least two coats of paint when painting the exterior of your house. Two coats of paint provides better durability and more even coverage than just one coat.
